I started my career of caregiving In 1983 where I provided in home care for an elderly lady for 18 months. In 1984 I worked for Minnesota DHS with developmentally disabled persons. In 1989 I began working for the Minnesota DOC until I retired in 2020. I love to help people achieve their goals and I really enjoy seeing people happy. I am currently teaching myself some wood working, furniture refinishing and some art.

**PLEASE READ**I have a regular 9-5 so I am only fully available on the weekends. I have a short windo of two hrs if in the Saint Paul area on the weekends and late evenings for 2 hour. I am skilled in many areas starting off in administration. I have done personal care for nursing facilities, as well as private clients. My expertise are as follows: Caregiver, home healthcare, hospice companion care, Alzheimer's and dementia specified. Providing genuine concern and care for my clients is a passion and hobby. My Name is Mary Kamara a cheerful and loving care giver. I have been in this profession since 2007. Am also a mother of three grownup kids and my middle kid an active marine who has served for 12 years now. He liked the way I did my job, go to school and take care of my home with my mom and grand baby. Am now taking a break from school after gtraduating in 2019. I like care giving especially to our seniors because they have served us when they were young and now is the time for us to serve them. I like shearing with them old stories of their past and important dates in their lives they never forget to celebrate. I am also a good listener and compassionate caregiver who goes an extra mile to make sure my job is done well. I am punctual and dependable. I love when i give care and my patient says thank you. I really appreciate that. Am a loved care giver, most of my patients love me and want only me to be visiting them to give cares always after they have known me. I have gone to school to be a Trained Medication Aide and also a Medical Assistant, but came back to do care giving because I love and appreciate the care giving job because I meet one on one with different people for the longest of time than the other jobs. I enjoy my job with my beautiful smiles, nothing brings me down when am working and I can handle stressful work when the days are not favorable.

I'm kind, have empathy and patience. I started out by taking care of my mother. I enjoy adding joy to someone's day. I took care of a couple in their home and was able to fulfill their wishes of staying in their home together until they passed.

What makes me a great caregiver is I'm compassionate, trustworthy, patience, and I'm also naturally dependable. I've become a caregiver because I care and love to take care of others. I love making a difference in someone else life.

I have a long line of care takers in my family so it's always been my passion to help people live their lives to the fullest. It brings me joy to watch the worry fall off their shoulders the minute I walk through the door. Every one of my clients are treated as if they were my own family. I am most proud of my ability to have patients. I have been pushed to my limit several times but I can always remain calm and talk my way through those crisis. I make friends easily but yet manage to stay professional in my work places. I'm a very relaxed and approachable person, I feel that's very important in my field.

I have been a caregiver for twenty five years. I have worked in hospital setting, long-term care, and in private home providing compationate care with various level of needs.

I have been a caregiver to my 92 year old mother, as well as others and currently live in a independent senior living apartment complex, even though I am not old enough to be here. As a college graduate in Special Education, I am a nurturer by nature and am compassionate, very patient and a great listener. I have taken pre-nursing classes and am a certified massage therapist. Being a massage therapist also brings an added touch to my abilities to bring comfort and care to my clients. I love people and brightening up their day. This is a very rewarding opportunity to be of service. I also have a dog, if a client is interested, who is very well behaved and loving. I think my biggest achievement is a tie between raising 3 amazing daughters as a single parent and going off to China to live for a year. It was a wonderful experience!
