I started my career of caregiving In 1983 where I provided in home care for an elderly lady for 18 months. In 1984 I worked for Minnesota DHS with developmentally disabled persons. In 1989 I began working for the Minnesota DOC until I retired in 2020. I love to help people achieve their goals and I really enjoy seeing people happy. I am currently teaching myself some wood working, furniture refinishing and some art.

Hello, my name is Jerry. I've been working as a certified HCA (caregiver) for 4 years. I am certified in the state of California. I recently relocated to Owatonna. Most of my experience is with dementia and hospice care. But I've worked in many different situations, Group homes, and floor coverage in memory care assisted living facilities. I've also worked with handicapped people and people with severe mental and physical developmental disabilities. ( I am also a certified DSP in CA), I have been thoroughly background-checked by each of the two agencies that I received most of my clients from. I have a completely clean record, and a clean driving record too. I love this job very much. I am reliable and honest, and I always have a very calm and friendly demeanor, which is why I work very well will elderly people. That's my favorite. But I am perfectly happy taking care of younger people too.

Hi, I have a lot of experience with being a caregiver for the elderly. I have worked with hospice clients and also dementia clients. I have even worked with just assisted living clients helping with basic cares. I am very passionate about being a care taker. I am pursuing a degree in nursing. I have always loved knowing that someone's loved one is being taken care of. To me it's nice to be able to provide that break for the family so they can be family and not the caregiver. I love being able to communicate with family and the client. Also, I love the bond that it all comes with. You truly make a one on one bond with the client and it's nice to get to know not only the client but family as well. I foresee myself being in healthcare for a long time as it's my passion. I have always had a passion for Caregiving. I enjoy helping others and find a sense of rewardment and pride in what I do. My biggest personal achivement has been my Registered Nursing degree. I am just taking time to study for my boards. I grew up taking care of my elderly family memebers and knew from a young age I always wanted to be in heath care.

I been c.n.a for 17yr and I love doing this kind of work. One thing I can say is dis is my career of choice. I love take care of ealdy people.the most thing I like about my job is the smile I put on my residents face. I'm proud of when I come into work and my residents are so excited to see me. I been c.n.a for 17yr and out them 17yr have not working with ealdy people. I also have my t.m.a license.

I received my CNA/ HHA certification and would like to pursue a position in the nursing/caregiving field. I am also certified in first aid and CPR. I have attended skills USA for 2 years and have competed in medical competitions with winning awards and scholarships.

I have grown up around nursing homes and group homes. My mother was CNA when I was young and I always loved spending my days there. I enjoy working directly with individuals to make their day easier and better. I like being able to connect with residents and being able to enjoy spending time together. I'm very proud of completing school to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Although my license has lapsed, I would love to go back and re-ceritify.

I've always had a soft spot for children and the elderly. I was nine when my brother was born with Cerebral Palsy and as a result became one of his primary caretakers in every aspect. At the same time my grandparents were aging and they needed care as well. I learned a great deal watching my parents tend to their daily needs and the joy and comfort expressed between them was priceless. So when my Dad was diagnosed with cancer and my Mom with Alzheimer's it was natural for me to move home and take care of both of them until they passed. I've also been a nanny and enjoyed that immensely. Over a year ago I received my CNA certification and proceeded to work at a memory care facility in the area, however I realized I was much better at one on one with people so I could really concentrate on their specific needs. After leaving there I have continued to nanny. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know and care for so many people that have crossed my path so far in this life and desire to help other families as well.

I became a caregiver in the beginning because I needed a job but quickly found that's really where my heart is. I wouldn't work in any other profession. Thru the years I have had the pleasure of getting to know and care for some pretty interesting people who have taught me so much! I treasure the time spent with each of my patients.
