I love being a caregiver/CNA. I've been a CNA for over 25 years. It gives me alot of pleasure taking care of the elderly. I'm a very caring & compassionate person. The reason why I started becoming a caregiver was because my brother just got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I used to take care of him before he went into the nursing home. I'm very hard working & enjoy listening to my clients history, for example where they are from & what they used to do for a living. I would treat your loved one like I would my own with up most respect. I really enjoy getting to know my clients & I feel like they are part of my family. If I can make them smile & laugh then I know I'm doing my job because some of my clients don't have much family or friends & they get very lonely & depressed. My personal achievement is taking care of sick & elderly patients.

Helping people is something I've always loved doing, and knowing that you've made even one person's day better by doing so is what gives me satisfaction. I helped care for my great grandpap when he started getting really sick and it just took off from there.

I'm a caregiver who is honest dependable never late for work, I love what I do I take passion in caring for my clients. I have been a care giver for 37 years. I became interested in being a caregiver when a lady ask me for help she told me that she was not able to bathe herself. which I did help her and did not take any money from her she thanked me. So after that I assisted her with her care when I could and helped her to find more help. that is when I decided that this is what I wanted to do. I like seeing their faces when they get the help that they need just seeing that smile on their face is priceless. My personal achievement that I'm so proud of. I worked with this lady who wanted to work part time I found her a job which she had to volunteer for a week to see if she was able to do the work. I assisted her showing her what she needed to do. after 3 days she was offered the job I was so proud of her. she worked part time at the job and later was offered a supervisory position.

I have always had the desire to help individuals to live a more rewarding life. It is a wonderful feeling to take away someones pain/ worries/ problems. I have cared for and raised five children and worked caring for people in multiple settings for over 25 years. I am on my own again and have relocated to my hometown of Somerset to start fresh. I am anxious to reconnect with the area and love caring for individuals on a one on one basis. Having been an RN for many years, I would very much love to care for people in their homes and treat them as family. I would like to be the extra pair of arms we all need from time to time. Going to Doctor's visits, trips to the grocery store, light housekeeping, general household pickup, walks in the park, general companionship, etc. I love to sew and read. I truly believe I was put on this Earth to help people. I enjoy making people's days a little brighter and easier. Life is about lifting each other up and making the most out of each and every day. I am going to be going to Nursing school in the Fall and pursue my passion of becoming a LPN, so I can extend my care to my clients.

I have great commmnication. While it's hard to pick the number one most important caregiving skill, communication is a good contender. I have plenty patience. I'm empathetic. I always have a positive attitude. When I became a caregiver I didn't realize I needed my patient just as much as she needed me. It really humbled me and made me appreciate life and my family ALOT more. I enjoy making my patients happy, comfortable and I treat them as if they are my family. I am proud of the way I grew as a person.

A few things about myself I have 5 children, I go to college full time for Business and have always had a passion for taking care of others! I love helping others, great at communication, passionate, kind hearted, and always treat patients as if they are my own family. What attracted you to being a caregiver? My mom was sickly when I was growing up so I always helped her and knew that I had a passion for it! I love being able to help others and make sure they get the best possible experience! What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? The ability to help others and provide them the assistance and care they need! What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Continuing my education.

I enjoy taking care of people. I think that any one that you care for should be treated like family, and making them smile. I am proud of myself for raising a wonderful son on my own, the experience was wonderful and would not change any thing. I am a very caring person, I took care of my father, and now I am caring for my mother. We only have one set of parents and they deserve there childrens respect and love. I am happy to be in this position and again would not change a thing. I had the experience of doing 24 hour care and have been hooked ever since. I am a very caring, responsible,dependable, honest and trusting person and have always had a good rating on being on time for work, stayed to work over time and best showing up for my shift every day. I like caring for people it makes me feel that what ever I do for them gives me a great feeling inside to be helpful. If you can help keep your patient happy and at ease when you are with them is a great feeling also, taking care of people that are not feeling well or that are sick takes a special type of person. Not every one is cut out for it.
