I am currently a second semester senior at Salve Regina University in the nursing program. I have been a CNA since I graduated high school almost 4 years ago. I have also had clinical experiences throughout college which has fiurther heightened my passion for being a caregiver. I would describe myself as compassionate and empathetic. I truly enjoy my time with the clients and patients I have spent time with and gotten to know. I have found that seniors/the elderly are a population that I feel particularly drawn to. I feel that I can learn so much from listening and being present with people, especially those who have lived different experiences than me in a different time period. I am very easygoing, and loving. I use to help take care of my great grandparents when they were in need of help. My great grandmother had Parkinson's disease and I use to help bathe her, feed her and help her get in and out of bed. My great grandfather was 96 when he started needing help he was still driving even though he couldn't turn his neck to the right.(he wouldn't let anyone tell him otherwise.) he had knee replacement surgery he had cancer and heart problems I was always there to make sure I he wasn't eating to much salt which he hated me for because he loooovveddd salt and making sure he exercised and took his medicines and also used his sleep machine at night and cleaned it often as well. I helped bathe him when he needed I would also cook for him and entertain him as well.

Hi there! In the past 5-8 years I've learned a great amount of patience working with clients with dementia/slight memory loss, Alzheimers, hearing deficiency, Macular degeneration, Physical impairments, & clients with hoyers. My mom introduced me to this type of job when I was about 23 and I've loved doing it ever since. She's inspired me to go for my nursing license In which I hope to recieve with in the next 2-3 years.
