I've tried many different jobs through out my life and have found the most satisfaction in caring for others. I enjoy helping others in any way I can. I'm a single mom of an 11 year old boy. I've been a CNA since 2001. I've gone to school at PCC, specializing in gerontology, end of life care, and dementia. I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in home. I'm a hard worker and am always trying to come up with new ways to improve the lives of the ones I care for.

Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. I am a simple person,I don't get mad easily.what inspires me to become a caregiver is when my grandma passed away I use to care for her for years before she pass so because of that I know how it feels when your love one needs help and how you want people to care for them I have being a caregiver for over five years I have work with different clients.i love being a caregiver I want to be part of people life helping them,encourage them making sure they reach there life time goals even tho some are hard to reach but still encourage them.

I am an NAR (soon to be CNA) studying to get my RN. I currently work TH - Sat nights 9pm -7am. Looking to help someone and be there for a client a few hours a week and make a difference.

I am very caring person and i like to take my time with my client without any kind of busy feelings. Im passionate and listening what person have to say, i do take my time to listen. I really do my best and sometimes eaven more than that.

As of October 4, 2022 I'm current with all COVID-19 vaccine shots and on Oct 4, 2022 I got the newest booster shot. I have been a IP ( Independent Provider ) Hospice/CNA nurse for 10 plus years now after obtaining my license in 2011. But been a caregiver for over twenty years now. My certification includes experience working with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Cancer, Autism, Mental Health, Nurse Delegation, Sundowner's, Stroke/Brain Bleed, Stroke with AFO brace, Cerebral Palsy, PSP ( Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) and Diabetes. I am CPR certified. I have my own transportation, non smoker, and have a clean driving record. I love working with people, but my passion is to work with senior citizens. I enjoy reading, cooking, scrapbooking, listening to music, love doing puzzles and playing with my three small dogs. I am handy in both house and yard work. The part I love most about what I do is the smiles and enjoyment that I can see on my clients faces from the care and help I give them. My most recent work has consisted of taking care of a ninety-six year old sweet lady with Dementia/cancer. I would like to provide companionship for someone that needs assistance. I am available for transportation to an appointment, cleaning, organizing, laundry, shopping and short day trips to enjoy the flowers. My experience has been caring for my father for several years, he had Parkinson's Disease with progressive dementia. He was a Veteran and received fabulous care through VA facilities. My sister and I provided his transportation to appointments to VA clinics and the hospital on the hill. Currently, I am a caregiver/companion for a sweet lady with dementia. She lives at home with her husband, I stay with her so he can take some time away to go fishing or take care of personal business. I live in Scappoose with my husband of 47 years, we have two children and four grandchildren that are fabulous!

Hello! My name is Litea Oko. I grew up going with my mom to caregiving jobs at the age of 8. I always admired how she loved her job and how her patients were like family because she would work for them for years. Until my mom got diagnosed with cancer 2010 and I had to grow up faster than usual kids. 2012 came to be the saddest days of my life and that was my mom passed. Nothing better than doing what me and my mom loves is helping others. My personal achievement of all this is having smiling clients/family! :)
