I am a 28 year old single mother of 3 children. I have taken care of elderly sick family since the age of 12. I am currently a CNA and I love every ounce of meaning and reason for my job. My grandmother is and was my encouragement for getting into the Healthcare field. I love working with the elderly you can learn so much from them if you take the time to take it all in.

I'm 19 years of age , I found my work ethic when I started with health care I knew right away that it was the job for me because I love helping others. My goal is to become a traveling nurse I've worked as a personal care attendant as well as home health care aid for almost 2 years , I have my FIRST AID & CPR certificate .

- Patience: When dealing with the elderly, it is essential for a caregiver to be patient. Older people may take longer to perform daily tasks, and depending on any cognitive diagnosis, may require a different level or type of communication. Patience is key to providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere. - I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. - Being able to help others only a daily basis - Purchasing my first home at 25.

I have been a certified nurse assistant for 18 years. I also work in the state of FL as certified nurse assistant. I'm very experienced I have had many opportunities as a nurse assistant working with the elderly. I have experience with vitals, lifts, 02 equipment, medications, etc. I have experience working in nursing homes, assisted living, clinics.

I retired10 years ago and wanted to make a difference in people's lives. Got a job at Walmart and discovered very little opportunities to reach people. Heard of homecare and attended CNA classes at Manor at Bluewater Bay, FL. To get professional training went to work in Nursing home owned by Signature Health Services, a large organization. Despite the glowing accolades of superior services, I discovered very little time and cut corners on cleaning residents messes, shoving food before they finished swallowing and excuses for not answering call lights. This has prompted me to cut my planned 12-24 month experience short and go into one on one caregiving. I quit a job in SC to go assist my 95-year-old Father. Then accompanied my wife when she sat with clients, I did the cooking (Healthful, tasty and attractive meals) housecleaning, laundry and driving to Drs appointments, shopping trips, visiting, chatting, and playing games with the clients. Have worked well with both Male and Female clients.

I have been a Home Health Aide for, altogether, 10 years. Not including caring for sick family members. I have always enjoyed working with elderly and disabled individuals. I have always wanted to help people since I was very young.
