I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that I take care of all my patients as if they were my own family and make sure they are comfortable and most importantly I listen to their needs. I first became interested in health care when my mother was ill and needed care herself and realized that I had a real passion for helping others. I enjoy knowing that the family can be at ease knowing I'm there taking care of their loved ones. At Long Beach Memorial I was know as the "sitter whisper" because whenever they had a difficult patient they would alway assign me that patient and by the end of the day the patient would no longer require restraints or was completely compliant and friendly. I have been doing caregiving for over 20yrs it started when my mom had her stroke she was paralyzed from one side so I had to give her physical therapy giver her medications tend to my siblings but I've always been a nurturing person ! My baby brother had got really sick at the point of dying cuz they couldn't figure out what was wrong he finally got a little better they sent him home and I took care of him cuz they put him a pick line, I've also helped my friend with her parents until the y passed I helped take care my moms friend father he had dementia so I had to give him his medication also bathe him my last client I had just passed away back in the middle of march I was so happy that I could bring him joy for his last days here on earth his family said I spoiled him it's that he reminded and me so much of my grandfather so I'm just glad I can help people!!!
