I first became interested in health care when my mother was ill and needed care herself and realized that I had a real passion for helping others. I enjoy knowing that the family can be at ease knowing I'm there taking care of their loved ones. At Long Beach Memorial I was know as the "sitter whisper" because whenever they had a difficult patient they would alway assign me that patient and by the end of the day the patient would no longer require restraints or was completely compliant and friendly. They always ask what was my secret and I would say I simply listen to what their needs are.

I am punctual, very compassionate about what I do for people who have lost some independence from a life event. Compassion for the family involved to help lessen the burden. I've been a caregiver for 35 yrs. I started in this field when I was just 17. I love what I do. I come from a medical family and decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a doctor or nurse. I specialize in geriatric dementia and Alzheimers care. Every client needs to know they're truly cared for on every level with love, patience, and kindness. I enjoy learning from them ... they often have amazing histories, stories and lessons to share.I'm often with my clients for the duration of their lives.

I have been a caregiver for over 17 yrs. I Have worked with wonderful people whom I still keep in touch with some of the families. What made this work so amazing and worth all the long hours and hard work is the bond you create with every Patient and their families. There are sad moments when the job is over but the memories stay in your heart for ever and sometimes we are just lucky enough to keep a nice relationship with the families of the patients we have taken care of.
