I am a compassionate,kind patient, trustworthy and reliable person. I was attracted to caregiving because it is a job that has the potential to to make a difference in someone's life. I enjoy interacting with them and taking care of them makes me feel like am part of the family. I became a care giver , because I like helping people, and keeping people company when they need it. I have worked with several clients with taking them to appoints, run errands, grocery shopping, or just to take them out to eat to enjoy the day. I started caregiving within my family when I was young teenager. Since I started caregiving I always felt good and honest about helping others who need it. I've been caregiving for 5 years and every time I walk into someone's home that feeling of being really eager to lend a helping hand never fades and the feeling of leaving someone's home after being caring and supportive and gentle makes me feel like a very accomplished person.

I've been a caregiver off and on for about 2 years now, Ive come to know a lot of people in my time of caregiving and know it's hard and rewarding work. I learn how to communicate with each person the way they need it and make sure their needs are met at the source and not the symptoms. I was attracted to being a caregiver once my grandma started to deteriorate. I wanted to be there to help while she lived alone with my grandpa.

I've been a caregiver for 8 years. I specialize with individuals with intellectual disabilities as well as physical disabilities. I am a host home provider who provides care for individuals in my home. I tend to work with clients who have a higher needs both medically and behaviorally. I treat my clients as part of my family and love to have fun with them in the community. I first became a caregiver as when I was a little girl, my dad ran a very big charity in texas called The Big Texas Toy Run where we would collect toys for children with intellectual disabilities who's family's were showing times of hardship. We then donated proceeds to various organizations. I volunteered there from age 4 - 18 years old.

I would often volunteer in the facilities she worked at, and I started as a CNA myself when I was 16. I have experience in a variety of healthcare settings, from home care to facilities to pharmacies to disability care. I have completed extensive training in Alzheimer's and dementia care, intellectual and developmental disabilities and basic life support and first aid. I have always been passionate about helping people and I love being able to help seniors stay in their homes and maintain their independence.
