Im newly certified BUT have 2 years and a half experience and looking to switch to in home care for more flexibility since I'll be going back to school soon for phlebotomy next. I currently work at a hospital as a healthcare technician in the Emergency Department. I'm CPR/BLS certified. I am a mandatory reporter for both adult and child abuse/ neglect. I'm fully vaccinated for COVID as well as the Flu shot. I can help out with mostly about anything. Preparing food, cleaning/housekeeping, helping with medication, personal cares, exercising or even a championship. I can even help with pets such as dog and cats if we'll behaved. I also have full coverage insurance so I can assist with driving and errand runs with no issues. I can provide certain documents for all of these things and certifications if needed. My name is Charlotte Findley I'm 55 yrs old. I worked many years in health care. My aunt, who was Director of Nursing at a Care Center took me to work with her when I was 12 yrs old. I fell in love with the company of older people. The stories and wisdom I would crave from then on. I started volunteering at the center. My aunt said that I added love and happiness when I visited but really I who recieved an abundance of love and happiness from being with the residence. Those are days I am forever greatful for. I found my calling , Caregiving!!! I had a small in home daycare in my early 20s. (back when i could keep up with several whipper snappers -those were the days lol) I have worked as a CNA in Care Centers. I also worked as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and as a Companion/Homemaker for folks in their homes. I worked as a Residential Assistance Tech (RAT) in group home settings, assisting those with intellectual different-abilities live as independently as possible. Though I didn't make a fortune monaterly I certainly feel very rich with many wonderful memories and friendships Ive gained along the way. I haven't worked for quite sometime . I helped cared for both my grandfather's who had Alzheimer's . I cared for my little sister (23 yrs younger then I ) who was born with special needs and required total care. She was called home March 2014. I cared for my dad who had esophalgial & brain cancer. He peacefully transitioned, as he refered to it, at my home in Feb 2015. I help my mom care for my 2nd dad (step dad) who had heart problems until he too was called home Jan 2018. Since then I've been caring for myself and my home. May of 2021 my grandson Oliver Thomas was born. What a joy grandparenthood is!! I am ready to get back to working outside the home again and am looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things, hearing new stories /personal histories and helping folks stay safely in their homes and as independant as possible.

Hi , my name is Renee. I am 27 years old. I chose to be a caregiver so that I can help those in need, whether it be housekeeping or conversation and companionship. I spent alot of time taking care of my Grandfather who lived with me for a while. I assisted him with cooking and cleaning. I definitely enjoyed listening to his stories and making sure he was well taken care of. I am a certified medical assistant. I received my certification at Unitek College in Hayward California. The Medical Assistant program was a year long. I am also very educated on head lice considering I am also a lice technician. I have a certification for that as well. I am very passionate about caregiving and mental health as well. I am working towards becoming a psychologist. I plan on being a caregiver and psychologist. I'm extremely interested in any clients who suffer from mental illnesses. I have alot of experience with helping those who have mental illnesses or disorders. I believe it's very important to know if someone is mentally ill so that I am aware of their triggers. It's my duty to assist them and keep a loyal, trusting, and enjoyable relationship with them.

I am very compassionate about what I do. Very dependable and reliable. I used to take care of my sick grandma before she passed on. A year after I loss my grandma I started working in a group home setting. What I enjoy as a caregiver is listening to the elderly stories about their life's. Heard what they did for living and families. I am very proud as caregiver.

A personality trait that has helped me become a great caregiver is patience. As a young teen I got to see caregiving first hand. My mother (a nurse ) , care for my great aunt and great grandmother. Watching her care for them and the manny ways they embraced her is the very reason I love what I do ! Personally the thing that I enjoy most about caregiving is the companionship and wonderful stories. Meeting new people and seeing life from their point of view . I love the fact that I'm helping someone continue to live life independently no matter the circumstances. One personal achievement I am proud of is that I recently decided to go back to school online to further my education. I'd say it's going pretty great
