Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. Just for a little extra info, I do speak some spanish, however not too fluent; I also play several musical instruments in which I got to share music with some of the residents I cared for. I am a great caregiver because i've been caregiving for more than 6 years and still love what i do. I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. I always give 100% and do the best job I can, with no exceptions or excuses. I also try to bring a sense of humor to my work. If I can add a smile or laugh to a client’s day, that means a lot to me. It is important to laugh.

I have been a PCA since I was 16 when my grandmother first got sick, I am now 33, I continued with this type of work because I absolutely genuinely enjoy taking care of people and helping them in their time of need. I have done in home care also worked in group homes and nursing homes. I have worked with elderly men and women as well as mentally challenged men and women, helping them with personal care, cooking and cleaning for them, administering their medications, transporting them to and from doctor appointments, as well as just going out to dinner or shopping or to have fun
