I'm 46 years old. I been married 19 years and have a 18 year old son who just graduated this year. I personally love being a caregiver. I've done it on and off for about 10 years now. I have 6 years of patient care in a hospital facility as well as in a living facility. I am currently pursuing my studies in Nursing and hope to become a RN in the future. I am mom of 4 children so that should add many more years of being a caregiver. I enjoy putting a smile on my patients face, making them feel important and loved. I am very proud that I can take care of my dad who is suffering from induced dementia due to a severe hemorrhagic stroke that he suffered 28 months ago. He had a tracheotomy placed at the time which we helped during the time he had it and we are grateful he no longer needs it.
