Hi I am a 42 year old single mom who loves to take care of people. I have over 20 years experience taking care of people.

I have been a care giver since 2008. I became interested in being a caregiver when my grandmother needed care. She is what drove me in my career. I cannot picture doing anything else as this is what brings me joy. The ability to keep our elderly at home for as long as possible and make sure their needs are met above and beyond is what I strive for.

I am a very kind, helpful, and determined person. I set very high goals for myself and I strive to succeed. I love helping people and being able to make people happy with my help. My grandmother was an aide, so she's one of my biggest motivations.

I fully believe we all have a calling in life. This happens to be mine. I've been a certified nurses aide since I was 18 years old. I've worked with all facets in which the job could entail. Private and in house facilities. Dementia/Alzheimer's - the blanket of it and it's branches, quad and paraplegic inflicted folks. Colostomy care as well as wound care. The list goes on. However, whatever the aliment, or the the age, we are all people, with feelings and tempers and day to day challenges. Sitting down with someone, hearing stories about their loves and accomplishments, simply giving them time and attention is what I see is most important. The smiles, hugs and love make my job worth it each and every day. I would be happy to sit down and meet you, your family and loved one and see if I am the right fit to help them carry on, when sometimes life seems like it's taking simple tasks away from them and comfort and ease them into a new chapter. I am a great caregiver because I take my time with people and I care about the person I am caring for. Watching CNA's care for my grandpa when he was in the hospital is what me into caregiving. Because seeing someone care for my grandpa and help him with the things he needed gave me and my family a lot of relief knowing that when we left to go home he was taken care of and we didn't have to be there 24 hours. It made me want to be able to do that for other people and their families, give them relief and comfort knowing their loved one is being taken care of even if they're not there. I love being a caregiver because I love to help people and it makes me feel good to help people with whatever they need without making them feel like a burden or like they are less of a person because they need a little help.

I'm a loving mom to two children and we live in Canajoharie. I'm finishing up my Bachelor's degree in Technology and thoroughly enjoy taking care of people. I like providing for them to the best of my abilities. I worked in Home Health when I lived in New Hampshire and it was my favorite job as the woman I took care of and myself became very close. I'm hoping to be able to provide for someone else again.

I have been a caregiver for 20+ years in various settings. I worked for hospice for 11yrs and decided to go out on my own to give the best individualized care to the people I help. I am married have 3 children and have a beautiful home in a country setting. I am respectful, honest, dependable and have excellent references.

I stay calm it helps with dementia I'm friendly I like to kid around. I like being around the elderly. I love all the new things I learn from them the stories of there life. It's great my grandmother was a nurse and when she retired she opened her home to military vets and I would help her make beds clean there rooms and talk with them. I received my C.N.A. in 98.

From the time I was 14 years of age, I have been a caregiver. My brother was in a horrific car accident that left him paralyzed. I learned quickly how to care for him. After he regained some semblance of his life back he retreated towards drug use. I sat with him through withdraws and recovery. Now 33 years later he is still clean. I have been a CNA,HHA,PCA, office personnel, a farm manger, a part of construction crews, and a HVAC Technician. I have met many people with different abilities, both intellectual and physical. With that said I am able to relate to many different types of people. I come from a long line of farmers and military and respect both professions to the highest degree. We should honor our Vets and our forefathers. Both men and women.

I love spending extra time with the patient to connect with them and make them feel taken care of. My main concern is making the patient feel happy and provide them with a positive outlook. I am calm caring, and professional. I love what I do and look forward to my time spent with my patients.
