I am a great caregiver because I enjoy the job I do. Helping those who can't help themselves makes me feel like what I am doing is making a difference. I enjoy doing the things for my residents that put a smile on their face everyday even if its as small as doing their hair or getting them their favorite snack. I also enjoy doing the big things and making them as comfortable as possible while doing them such as toileting. its also not just a job to me. I have built real and meaningful relationships with past residents that I will never forget.

To start I volenteeed for almost 3 months before I accepted my first caregiving job just to make sure I was cut out for the job since then I have provided care for every stage of life from beginning of life to end of life . I've done hospice respite and full care . For people who need stand by care to full assist I've done facility as well as in home care I'm experienced with cathader care colostomy and ostomy care diabetic care gi tubes hoyer lifts sit to stand lifts all vital signs medication management transfers bowel and bladder care incontinence pet care house keeping wound care diabetic care gluten free care and child care disability care exercise life skills to just name some of the things I have experience with . I care for my clients and residents the way I would want my grandparents or parents taken care of . I give my whole hearted efforts when working with the people I care for. I love my job

I am pursuing a career with a reputable company where I can utilize my skills and gain further experience while enhancing the company's productivity and reputation. Even though I do not have a C.N.A certification as of yet, I truly believe I'm every bit as skilled. In addition I feel I have intangibles that set me apart from the average caregiver, hopefully I'll be able to use the skills I've learned over the years to help bring a higher level of service to the elderly.

I did not choose to become a caregiver it chose me, back in 2005 my husband was in a accident and became a quad needing full care, I became his caregiver, he passed in 2009. I then realized this was my calling as I was born with a servants heart. I was very good at what I did because my heart was in my work. I went on to become a resident manager for several years in DD and Senior Care homes, moved on to do one in one care, furthering my education yearly according to my clients needs, obtaining EQC certification as well as resident managers licensing . I have excellent references and do not quit my jobs, I care for my clients until the very end. I'm very reliable, trustworthy, honest, caring and compassionate! Im upbeat and keep my clients engaged and comfortable.
