I feel I am a great caregiver because I am empathetic, caring, charismatic, silly, I love to make my consumers smile and be happy. I became a caregiver for the following reasons there are never enough caregivers to go around, I have worked short handed in caregiving since I started. I enjoy helping my consumers live their life to best they can and I am willing to help any way I can to achieve that goal. My personal achievement I'm most proud of is definitely being the best mom, person, friend, I can be and also being myself.

I am a Nationally Registered EMT and I volunteer with the local fire department ambulance service. I am a mom of one.

I have been working the the health field for 18 years. I have worked in home care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and psych hospitals. I love helping people. I love to sit and hear their the stories of their past. I am a very caring person and treat all my residents as if they were my own family. My mother was an aide when I was younger and I always admired what she did and wanted to do the same. I love everything there is about being a caregiver, from the good days to the bad. Every moment, every day is very rewarding. I have two personal achievements that I am most proud of. The first one is my three children. They are my everything and my reason to get up every day and keep doing what I do. My second one is the fact that I am now back in school. I never had enough self confidence to do it but with the support of my children and my boyfriend I know I can accomplish it and be great at it.

I started taking care of her from 2012 until 2014 when she lost the battle and passed. Then my grandmother ended up taking a turn for the worse, and I took care of her from 2014 until 2016 when she passed away. I'm a very loving, and caring person. I became a caregiver because my dad started getting sick, then we soon found out he had cancer. I knew he needed care 24/7. After he passed I continued my career and got my CNA and worked 3 years at a nursing home, and have realized that isn't for me. I have decided to move onto home health care where I can be 1:1 with people.
