I've spent most of my adult life taking care of people. It's what I love most. I love getting to know who I'm caring for as well as their loved ones.

My name is Barbara Alt I'm 53 yrs old I'm a CNA with over 30 years experience I love to care for the elderly I'm verse in many different areas I'm very out going I like to cook clean or just be a companion what ever your love one needs I will do.

I am a honest and caring person who enjoys caring for people who need my help. I started working in this profession when my dad suddenly became Ill with cancer. I knew then I wanted to help people .

Taking care of people and caring for people are two different things but I've always been intentional about both. I treat others the way I would want to be treated or how I would want someone to treat my loved ones. Growing up being raised by a family who took pride in helping others especially those who can't help themselves , giving back to the community , being selfless, seeing a need and being of service, and found more joy in simply being an humanitarian more than anything else, has really became apart of who I am. I believe in people maintaining their respect and dignity in all aspects of life, good and bad, and if I can help with that, then I will go above and beyond the call of duty to do so.

Hello! My name is Edyn and I am originally from Altoona, PA. I am currently in my senior year of nursing school at IUP and will be graduating in December of 2020. I plan to become a Labor and Delivery nurse one day after graduation. I am very dedicated to this field and I believe I have a very warm heart. I am empathetic and can truly advocate for my client's health and well-being. I care for each of my clients as I would want my own family to be treated. I decided to become a caregiver as I would like to get more of a foot in the door for my nursing career while building a relationship with my client. Hello! My name is Heather Dunmire, I have been in the medical field for 8 years now. My first job out of high school was a nurses aide position. I went on to further my education and obtain my CNA license in January 2017. I have a strong passion for wanting to help others and wanting to see them succeed. I have worked in a childcare facility as a shift supervisor before but I always find my way back to my elderly folk, that is where I feel my heart is at and where I feel I do my best work. I love hearing their stories from all throughout their lives, and I absolutely love to see the smiles on their faces. I like to really take the time to find out what their dislikes and likes are, get to know their routine of things, and try to connect with them in a way to make them feel safe and secure. I am cpr, first aid, aed, and Heimlich trained. I am also diabetic trained and medication trained, and insulin trained and I have a customer service certification. I am a senior nursing student at IUP, and I will be graduating in may. I am very compassionate and love the field of work I am in. I have experience with caring for the elderly, as I was a caregiver for my neighbor back in High School. Since I am a senior student I have completed all areas of nursing (I will be in Psychiatrics and community nursing this upcoming semester).
