I have always been the type of person who put others before myself and once I got into being a Caregiver I knew it was the perfect fit for me. I was able to use my skills to help others have a better outlook on life. I finally found something that gives me fulfillment. I have helped clients with dementia. I have helped a client who had a stroke and was recovering at home. I have held the hand of a man on his deathbed and stayed with him so his family could rest. I have helped another man with depression just by simply cleaning his home and talking with him. He was beaming as he said his house hadn't been that clean since his wife was alive. I have heard so many amazing stories and adventures of people who had been through different periods of this past century and I absolutely love what I do! I have worked for companies in the past but I prefer to work privately now. Some weren't bad but I did not like that they did not want their caregivers to become close with the client and their family. The other downside is when going through a company, the client may get several different caregivers in a week and they do not generally like that. I love being the only caregiver for a client because it builds trust and comfortability and the client doesn't have to explain their routine with someone new every other day.

I have 8 years of my life to being an aid, I take pride in my job. Asca kid my grandmother was mistreated in a facility from that point on I knew what my purpose is on earth.. I love hearing my clients life story and becoming a part of the family.Im proud at what I do I make a difference in some one's life and knowing that I'm forever greatful to be a nurse.
