I cared for my late father when he had a stroke twenty four years ago and I developed a tender heart for the elderly. I love working with them and I believe they need love, special care and attention in their old age just like my dad offered me a lot of love, care and attention in my young age. I am a warm, loving and caring person and I would like to make a difference in a person's life, treat them with respect and love, through music, through a word of encouragement, through a smile, a warm embrace an acts of kindness. I am reliable, detail oriented, respectful, creative and organized. The best time was when one of the elderly people who hasn't been talking or saying anything for a while started singing when I was playing a song on the CD and humming along, I felt so accomplished and victorious in that moment. I made a difference in her life that day, through music.

I've tried many different jobs through out my life and have found the most satisfaction in caring for others. I enjoy helping others in any way I can. I'm a single mom of an 11 year old boy. I've been a CNA since 2001. I've gone to school at PCC, specializing in gerontology, end of life care, and dementia. I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in home. I'm a hard worker and am always trying to come up with new ways to improve the lives of the ones I care for.

Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. I am very caring person and i like to take my time with my client without any kind of busy feelings. Im passionate and listening what person have to say, i do take my time to listen. I really do my best and sometimes eaven more than that.

I am a caring, loving individual that loved my job & took it very serious & personal. I helped both husband & wife to get back to themselves when they got a cold or was just having a bad day. Out of the 8 & half years I worked their I only missed a total of 5days had to be very dependable it was only 1 other lady who worked there different shift relieved me to go home & I relieved her to go home until the granddaughter came to help us out. I don't have any kids I am available anytime, I would love to be a caregiver again I believe it's my calling just haven't had another opportunity to do so. I even worked on most holidays unless I scheduled to be off to be with family. I just moved to Washington almost two weeks ago am currently at Foster Farms until I can get another caregiver opportunity if I am given a chance I would like to put in two wks notice thank you for letting me share part of my life.
