I am from the small island of Tonga in the South Pacific. Family is the center of my life. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters, hanging with my family is everything. Respecting our eldest is one of the core principal in my culture and I apply it to my daily lives. I would like to say that I am friendly and patient when it comes to caring for others around me no matter who you are. I am always looking for opportunity to grow personally and professionally.

I am responsible, caring, outgoing and a very attentive person. What attracted me the most to be a caregiver is that I can build relationships with patients and keep them company throughout the day whenever they need it. Something I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is to help my patients out. Knowing I can help them with their adls or anything else makes me happy.

I've been involved in homecare/caregiving most of my life. My experience has been in different settings; nursing homes, assisted living and private duty homecare. Nowadays though I prefer working in a private setting. I've done other types of work but none as rewarding as homecare. I realized early on in life I had an easy rapport with older people, listening to their stories of another era, empathizing with any struggles they may be having and just being a friend and companion. For me there is nothing more fulfilling .

As a highly empathetic and caring individual with extensive experience in the caregiving field, I am confident that I can succeed as a Caregiver for Jojo, I also provided home health care for a rotation of 10 patients per week At Aloha care ( Hawaii ) five days a week. My responsibilities included light housework, giving baths, preparing small snacks, reading to patients, helping them around the house, helping patients use the restroom, providing companionship, keeping track of appointments, and feeding patients. I am very passionate about the well-being of my patients. I believe that the elderly are a valuable and important generation, full of wisdom and knowledge and that they need to be cared for and protected. During my young years, I served as a primary caregiver for my grandmother. As a frail woman in her late 80s , she needed a lot of assistance with most day-to-day functions. Since I was there more than my parents, who both worked full-time, I took it upon myself to be her caregiver. The more time I spent with her, the more I realized that although her body may not function, her mind was an ocean of stories and wisdom, waiting to be explored.
