First and foremost, I am the mother of a one year old daughter. I love cooking, doing hair, and playing trivia games. I've been helping elderly people since I was 12. My grandmother inspired me, as I would go with her to a few houses around the neighborhood and help out the older people in our community. I then ended up taking care of my grandmother. The thing I enjoy the most is them knowing someone cares. I enjoy listening to them and assisting whenever I can. I've learned so much working with different people. What I'm most proud of is I learned how to be better day by day. Communication skills are way better because I learned how to actually listen.

Working as a caregiver has been apart of me since 2014. I get the job done, do a great job at what I do and don't mind getting the job done. I became a caregiver because I took care of my great grandmother until she passes at the age of 94 years old. Right then I knew that this was my field. I took in my grandmother in which she is 75 years old and still living with me to help better my career. I like the fact that not only your love ones but those people depend on you as well as I make them happy. A personal achievement that I am proud of is finishing Registered Medical Assisting school now in school for RN as well as investing in a home care agency.

Well I've beening do this type of work since I was 15 do to my aunt being in a wheel chair before I even new what it was called so u guess that's why I love what I do it comes so naturally cause I love that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones. Face I love my field of work.

I'm a very out going person who loves to help people in need. Helping people is one of my great passions and gives me a sense of purpose. Knowing that the help I provide to others makes me feel great overall as a person. A major personal achievement that I am proud of is starting my own business.

What makes me a good caregiver is my personality and my work ethic. I am likely to find things to do to keep myself busy and keep my client busy with things they are able to do. I have worked with people with all ranges of abilities and I can easily adapt to new situations. I tend to find the silver lining in situations and my clients like that I am just an overall happy person. I know when to encourage and when to back off as to not exhaust my clients when they are trying to complete an activity. I like having open communication with family members so they can stay up to date on their loved one's progress.
