I have been a caregiver for a little over two years now and have learned a lot. I have had experience in a nursing home, a hospital, and a group home. When I first started out I was very unsure about my job. I knew that I wanted to help people in need but didn't know if this was going to be the job for me. The longer I am in the medical field the more I love my job. I put 100% into my job and take care of my clients/residents. I am loyal, trustworthy, and very dependable. I have been raised to always treat others like you would want to be treated, respect everyone, and be kind. I remember while I was working in the nursing home I loved talking with the residents, they had a lot of cool fun stories of their lives. In all I am very compassionate about my job. At the end of the day it puts a smile on my face knowing I have made someone smile today.

My name is Danajah Morrison, I'm 24 years old. I have been doing caregiver/cna work since I've been about 17 years old. I first started taking care of my grandmother and I pretty much just stayed in the field of helping other elderly individuals reach their independency goals. Some expertise that make me a great caregiver is my patience. I'm very patient when it comes to dealing with elderly individuals. I'm also reliable, dependable, and a multitasker. I'm PRN at a nursing home. I've worked at alot of homes with having one on one with clients. I can manage to watch more than one client, though I prefer to have just one. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the internal feeling of making another human feel human again. I love to make others feel whole, especially the elderly because some come from rough background and no family. So as a cna, it's my job to make sure they have a shoulder to lean on and someone to talk to. I became a caregiver to help with my father with his heart condition. I continued in the field after his passing. my father and mother became very sick and so they needed somebody to take care of them. I offered to be with them and i was so happy when i was taking care of them. I realized that they needed emotional support which i gave them. Every day i saw their faces with joy that encouraged me and i came to like what i was doing. I was giving them support that i could just to make them enjoy life while they were living in their home. Before they became seek, i was dealing with the less fortunate people and elderly in Africa. I took care for my parents 3 and a half years. After them , i have taken care for elderly who have dementia, alzheimers, parkinsons , cancer, stroke, diabetes hospice cases and those who needs companionship. I have been able to give them joy and hope every day they wake up. I remind them of medication, i do light house keeping, giving them or assisting them with shower, cooking, doctors appointment ,running errands, and laundry. I am christian care giver who have passionate , trustworthy, empathetic, reliable, patience and loving.

Hello I'm Cheryl, and I became a Caregiver because I have a passion for people. I have always helped people in some way shape or form. I feed the homeless, sometimes I give money and sometimes I will purchase food for them. I crochet and when it get's cold I take hats, scarfs, gloves/hand warmers that I made through-out the year down to the shelters and pass them out. I make Cemo hats and donate them to those individuals that have cancer and have lost there hair. I love being able to put a smile on someones face and in there heart. I love the fact that when I leave an individual they fill lifted, loved and hopeful. I am a veteran of the United States Army and that I am very proud of. I am a very compassionate, loving, trust worthy and honest person, I pride my self on my loyalty,dependability, and punctuality.

My name is Colleen and I am 38 years old. I have two wonderful kids. My son just turned 18 and my daughter 13. In short I have been a caregiver as a mother for 18 years and babysat other kids on and off. I have also worked for ResCare as a caregiver for the mentally handicapped.
