Be responsible for assisting resident whose physical and cognitive capacities are hindered by Alzheimer's disease ,dementia, and other condition associated with the aging process in performing necessary activities of daily living. I been working for 10 Years in my present company As designated care manager I'm providing a basic personal care, social care and emotional support to the residents who need my help with day-to-day tasks. My role as a designated care manager is to help the residents to keep as much independence as possible. and to be as socially and physically active as they can. the main part of my role is to plan and supervise social activities. Social care is very important, and it is essential to caring and trusting relationships with my residents that i work with. I talk to my residents , listen to their memories, and reassure them if they are anxious or confused. I must be aware of any changes in an individual's physical or mental health, such as pain, loss of mobility, depression or anxiety. I must have an understanding of the needs of my residents,including their social and emotional needs. Patience, compassion, tact and a sense of humor are vital qualities, especially if i work with my residents who do not like to admit that they need my help. I will need strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop caring, trusting relationships with my residents I must be able to respect each individual's right to keep as much independence and privacy as

I became a caregiver because I simply enjoy helping the elderly in any way that I can. I feel in this type of field you either have it or not. I can confidently say I love to help those who are in need. Not everyone can be blessed to find and feel secure with someone coming in into their home but I can assure you I am trustworthy and willing to take direction to of any help you want me to. I am positive, I am a good observer for any change of conditions with the patient/resident, and those changes I will communicate with family or any who is under the supervision of the patient/resident. I have been a CNA for over a year and have not been able to find another job as rewarding as this one!
