I became a caregiver at the age of 17 while I was still in High School, I became a STNA where I worked in a nursing home and also went on to provide care for MRDD individuals living in a residential setting. I have always had a passion for helping those in need and it is one of my long term goals to do in the future as I would like to someday establish my own centers in assisting those that need help.

i'm become a caregiver ,cause i used to take care of my dad before he passed and i enjoyed to help him and he was happy to . So, i felt in love for helping people who really need help . being a caregiver is not only a job for me , spend your day with people in they final days , make them feel like they young, make them feel comfortable it is a passion for me. I have so many achievement , i used to work with a girl who had a stroke in her left side ,when i first start with her she was so desperate, so depress she always said to her husband why you hired a caregiver send me to a nursing home i'm gonna die soon.she refused care and everything. now she's feel comfortable she have peace and we became a friend, and her family appreciate the change in her life. i used to work with a lady who had Alzheimer's disease she was so bad , sometimes i feel like to give up, and i found the way to make live like a normal people, we dance, we laugh, we go to the movie, the theater, the museum and before her daughters send her the rehab she was fine. i have another one in my current job , she doesn't like nobody, she's alert she refuse care everything, one day i went to her room and said you have a minute , i'm here to keep you company i'm not your aide i want to be your friend, she said i'm okay ,i'm about to leave and she call me and said what is your favorite show, and we start talking about show and we become a friend. i'm from Haiti, i'm a single mother, i have a beautiful 4 years o

I became a caregiver because I always had a passion aiding with the elderly. I love feeling like I completed a resident who feel incomplete from them not being able to care for themselves. I'm very proud of myself for getting accepted in the Vet Tech Program, I've always loved animals.

I have 29 years experience as an RN. I am not licensed in the state of California because I relocated here from Alabama. I have a wealth of knowledge regarding patient care and I also have experience in assisted living.

I decided to become a caregiver because I like to help the clients out a lot, and I enjoy doing this job. It puts a smile on my face when I am able to give the proper assistance to the clients. I also do personal care which includes bathing, grooming, and provide medication to the client. In addition, I like being a caregiver because I've been doing this job for many years, and I enjoy connecting with the client on a personal level. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of was doing technician and construction in highschool back in my hometown. I like sometime when they come close to me and tell me how they will look like later ,sometime ,they call me by the name of there mother .For me is a blessing from God.

I love to care for people I been doing it sense I was 7 yrs I know 7yrs is young but my grandmom was old and I use to love stay at her house when it was no school and help her take a bath help her cook and clean up and help her watch my little brother and I love I have learned a lot from dealing with kids and adults and meantliy challenge people i also like talking to them
