i am a full time hard worker and mother to 2 children. i live in san francisco, and is currently working per diem, i also go to school monday through friday. i am studying to get my pharmacy technician license. i have absolutely loved working with patients in all different types of settings. it has truely helped me to grow and really love what i do.

I was honored to care for a 63 year old professional dog trainer who suffered from Kugel Welander disease. The condition had stolen over 95% of her muscle control including her ability to breathe without the assistance of ventilators. I was privileged to not only assist her in training her dogs but also in helping her to continue to compete with them against people without handicaps til the time of her passing. As her primary live-in caregiver for 4 years I prepared her meals, bathed her, dressed her, washed, conditioned & even coloured her hair. Transfer from bed to wheelchair & back was manual lift & carry but I have extensively used Hoyer lifts as well. I not only drove her all over the state of Florida but I also accompanied her across the US so she could continue to devote her remaining time to doing what she loved the most. I worked closely with her respiratory therapist to maintain her ventilators & also managed her inventory of other health & animal care related equipment. Since her passing I've become a state certified CNA in Florida and Tennessee. I'm currently working on the observation floor at Holmes Regional Hospital. This new experience has helped me become a well-rounded caregiver because in a very short period of time I've assisted nurses with an amazing variety of patients & illnesses. I learn more & more with every shift not just clinically but about the vitality of human beings.

the reason why i became a caregiver is because i enjoyed helping someone in need. what i like mostly being a caregiver is putting a smile on someone's face. what am mostly proud of is am not the same person i was 5 years ago, am changing day by day. and everything in me is being possitive at all times.

I became a caregiver because its what I do naturally because I believe I was born to care for people. Being a caregiver has given the opportunity to get to know people and their needs and appreciate every day that has been given to me, because you never know the turn that life may take. I am proud to say that I have came across some great people as a Can who has given the determination and appreciation of life. I have been a caregiver for 8 years and still going strong.

I became a Certified Nurses Aide in 1977, and have kept going ever since. I have worked mostly with geriatrics, in long term facilities. I also worked in Hospice both professionally and private duty often, as well as homecare for skilled and personal care. I really enjoy people and giving comfort when it is needed.

I became a caregiver back in the year of 2000 then I decided to get my CNA license in 2010 because I love helping others that cant do for themselves. I truly have a compationate caring for people young and old. I have tried customer service jobs in the past but have always found myself back in the care giving industry. My personal achievement is that I have a gift that I am truly blessed to have and it makes people happy when I do more than what they expected during my time of caring for people. I am a reliable inddependent person born and raised in Las Vegas.

Naturally I was choosen to be a caregiver its a passion not a choice, to give others a better quality of life even if its for one day one week one month its all worth it. I will fight for those i take care of as if it were i in their position. I am very proud of my life in general I am a divorced mother of 3 who had battled cancer while going to college and still graduating showing my kids dreams are possible no matter what obstacles are in the way, the harder the fight the sweeter the victory will be. I am very dedicated and reliable but only action can show you!

A number of years ago, when I was 19, I suffered a debilitating motorcycle accident. And while I recovered fully, over 12 month's time, I learned what it meant to have limited mobility, to have to rely on others for your most basic needs, and that experience has given me a deeper appreciation for those in need of one-on-one care. For some people, a caregiver will be the person they interact with most during the last years of their life, thus making that role very important. I am most proud of having been a mother, and not just a mother, but a single mother. My experiences and the wisdom I have gained from being a parent have been extremely beneficial to me, in my career as a medical assistant. I have been an artist, photographer and birdwatcher for the entire duration of my adult life.

What makes me a excellent caregiver is my holistic approach to healthcare. I respect my client's and their outlook on life. I am empathetic and value the time I have making a change in someone's life.

I have always been a caretaker and compassionate person. I've been taking care of my own Mother for almost two years who is disabled and has early onset Dementia. Although challenging at times I know I'm doing what's right for her by keeping her in her own home. I treat all of my clients this way. They deserve the utmost respect I'm able to give.
