I believe in delivering quality of life for seniors and clients of any age! Showing compassion through sincere listening and being present for the clients I care for is a top priority. Through home visits with various agencies, live-in care, and working with an Assisted Living Center my combined services to the elderly have helped me thrive in the industry of caring. In the realm of younger folks, I drove a school bus for years and taught home schooled children including my own. I taught a class on self-empowerment based on the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series too. The classes I taught were an eye-opener and perhaps opened the door to a new way of viewing life. The life experiences I've had with Seniors who have become family to me and ultimately my friends has given me much more than I could have possibly conceived of giving to them! I found that with kids, being present and seeing the beautiful gifts they have inside always brought those gifts out with the acknowledgement. The services I've provided are most assuredly a soul's calling! Senior care and working with younger folks has been a perfect fit with my desire to make a difference with others, and the kind of career I totally enjoy! I have a knack for understanding human nature and the needs of the heart and naturally, I learned this through my own life experiences. We all are truly one when it comes to matters of the heart and what this life means! Applying the knowledge of our oneness is what the care of others is all about. I'm seeing my own reflection in the hearts of those that I serve in this type of work. From that seeing, I give the best of who I am to others! Importantlly too is the fact that I am CPR and First Aid Certified and have over 20 years experience caring for Seniors.

Hey, my name is Talia Smith. I've been in the healthcare profession since I was 18 years old. Healthcare is my absolute passion! I have a love for helping others and making them happy. With my bubbly personality and great listening skills, clients that I've worked with adore me. What attracted me to being a caregiver was growing up taking care of my great-grandparents. What I enjoy most is listening to my clients stories and learning more and more about them each and everyday. A personal achievement that I'm very proud of is with every client that I've worked with, they speak very highly of me. I love what I do!

What helps me be a great caregiver is I put all my force into the person I'm caring for to make sure their comfortable. What I enjoy most about being able to be a caregiver is putting a smile on someone's fast and knowing that my job is a blessing for those in need of extra help in their every day lives. I became a caregiver to help people feel more independent while in there own home .I love being a caregiver because the look on clients face when you make them feel independent is priceless. I am proud that everyone I come across loves the great work I do I am a parent to a son with autism so I know patience and helping makes a difference the medical field has always been my calling.

I really enjoy being a caregiver a job that your able to make a difference in a clients everyday living. a relationship you just cant explain with your client or patient depends on level of care. I became a can in 1991 lookin for a different career path then . worked in nursing rehabilitation home for 3 years learned so much . I did work in for agencies for in home visits as well for the next 7 years. I continued my education in Georgia to become a cma certified medical assistant. I have recently taken a can course at Cumberland health center . recertified can cpr/ first aid .

Because I really care for people I feel I can really help this way. What I really like about it is like you can express to them how you really feel about what you do and how you care for them.
