I have cared for my husband who was handicapped for seven years before his death in 2011. I have friends and acquaintances who have health problems, mental and physical, whom I look in on with a phone call or a personal visit. I enjoy being a caregiver because it makes me happy to make someone else happy.

Hi I am Eunice a 21 year old caregiver! Working as a caregiver has been a blessing and a eye opener. I have worked in the Health Care field for over 17 years. I received bachelor's of Arts in 2015 from Iowa State and my Masters Of Public Health in 2019 from Purdue University. Growing up, I enjoyed helping around house, doing little chores like talking the trash out, washing the dishes, warm food up, and also helping my mom with baby sitting my younger siblings. As soon as I was able to work, at the age of 14 in Ireland, I got a summer job, helping a lady in her 90s with her laundry, I felt proud of myself, this lead to me getting a community award. When I moved to America at the age of 17, I got my CNA and , every since then I have worked in the medical field which I love and enjoy so much. Taking care, and helping a person in need with there daily activities has been a trait I enjoy doing, I treat others the way I would love to be treated.

Hello my name is Ashyia , im 21 years old and I've been preforming this job for about 5 years in counting. Something that attracted me to being a caregiver was my grandmother being diagnosed with cancer and be stepping up to take care of her. The main thing that I love about doing this type of work is being that clients grow so close to you when they feel comfortable. Seeing them become comfortable in their everyday lives fills my heart with joy , seeing them happy about everything they accomplish is another thing that I enjoy seeing.
