I have cared for my husband who was handicapped for seven years before his death in 2011. I have friends and acquaintances who have health problems, mental and physical, whom I look in on with a phone call or a personal visit. I enjoy being a caregiver because it makes me happy to make someone else happy.

I have worked in the Health Care field for over 17 years. I received bachelor's of Arts in 2015 from Iowa State and my Masters Of Public Health in 2019 from Purdue University. I love working with people and improving their lives. I'm a people person and have worked in many different care facilities, from hospitals to homes to assisted living facilities. I love being that person to put a smile on peoples faces. I believe in continuing education and I am in the process of getting my doctorate in Education. I'm open minded and believe in quality care. I also believe in living your best life and making positive change in the world. '

I have a passion for caring and helping others out. I enjoy caring for others that once cared for us. I love hearing their stories, getting to know them, and meeting their families. Hello, My name is Precious Yakubu I am a mother of three, and also currently a Student at Full Sail University set to Graduate September of 2022. Growing up, I enjoyed helping around house, doing little chores like talking the trash out, washing the dishes, warm food up, and also helping my mom with baby sitting my younger siblings. As soon as I was able to work, at the age of 14 in Ireland, I got a summer job, helping a lady in her 90s with her laundry, I felt proud of myself, this lead to me getting a community award. When I moved to America at the age of 17, I got my CNA and , every since then I have worked in the medical field which I love and enjoy so much. Taking care, and helping a person in need with there daily activities has been a trait I enjoy doing, I treat others the way I would love to be treated.

Hello my name is Ashyia , im 21 years old and I've been preforming this job for about 5 years in counting. Something that attracted me to being a caregiver was my grandmother being diagnosed with cancer and be stepping up to take care of her. The main thing that I love about doing this type of work is being that clients grow so close to you when they feel comfortable. Seeing them become comfortable in their everyday lives fills my heart with joy , seeing them happy about everything they accomplish is another thing that I enjoy seeing. A personal achievement I am proud of would probably have to be continuing to maintain everything I've worked so hard for.

I became a caregiver because I l like nothing more than to help anyone and everyone out in anyway, shape, or form. To make a person smile and be happy is the greatest feeling to me, knowing that I made someones day/night helps me to sleep good with a smile on my face as well. I use to be so scared to even step one into a nursing home that was up until I got my first job at 17 being a dietary aid in the kitchen at a nursing home, and now I wouldn't change my career for anything. I can actually say that I am really good with families and getting along with anyone and everyone. The families that are involved in their loved ones life is also a big part of this type of career so making the family happy as well is very important to me. I have been in the healthcare field of work the 8 years I have worked and mainly just worked in the nursing home environment but I have also worked as a Direct Support Professional for an in home care facility. I would not go back and change my job and or wouldn't change the type of work I do for anything. Happiness is home made and care comes from the heart.
