I have been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for 4 years. I was born and raised in Houston tx, along with my family. I have worked with pediatric to geriatric patients in a home health care setting as well as a clinical setting. I love working with people of all ages and the joy I bring to my families. Hello, my name is Natasha Gallaway and i have 13 years of experience in total care for clients. I have experience in bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, repositioning, transfers, ADL's, toileting, check and change. I love being able to be of help to others and knowing that i made a difference in someone's life at the end of the day.

My personality traits that I'm naturally a caring person and have compassion for others. I love to help others. I have the ability to bring my best qualities into my work environment and use them alongside the skills I have gained training in nurse assistant and medical assistant education. What attract me in been a caregiver is my mother who is a retired nurse for over 20 yrs and my grandmother who always helping people in need at her age of 91 she still does her part in the community. In 2010 my grandfather pass away of myeloma I was his caregiver. All this and more attracted me to become a caregiver. I enjoy most about been a caregiver is an opportunity to show love, respect, and dignity to those in need. It is a deeply fulfilling experience that allows me to learn more about myself and grow as an individual. Caring for someone is a powerful and intimate relationship that can bring about a strong connection and bond. When caring for someone, it is important to show love, trust, and understanding. One of my personal achievement that I proud of is becoming an advocate of others who is need.

As a Certified Nurse Aide of 30 plus years, I always give 101% of my service in caring for my clients. I am passionate of my work and love my job. As a young girl growing up I always felt strong about studying in the nursing field to advance in my career. I'm flexible, reliable, along with punctual. Nonetheless, I have capabilities to perform required duties such as walking, exercise, shopping, and transportation to health providers. I consider myself blessed to have a connection with the elderly. When I was a 14 yrs old had the most amazing bond with the 93 year old mother of our church and I will never forget her. I personally feel responsible for the helpless ; I didn't know I needed a reason why. However, I have realized it's not for everyone. I take pride in the connection and the ability to bond with a person in need of understanding and compassion. I now consider it a gift and I am humbly grateful.

I've been a certified caregiver since 2013. I decided to pursue a career in this field due to the fact that I cared for my grandfather. I'm passionate about what I do. I not only care for a person I become a companion. I try to make them as comfortable as possible with whatever it is they're battling. I thoroughly enjoy making them feel and look good. What makes me a great caregiver is that I am able to relate to the needs of my clients base on individuality. I am very compassionate towards my clients. I try my very best to understand their needs and find a solution to it. For many years I've lived away from my father, but the moment I received a phone call that he had a stroke I dropped everything and went to care for him until he recovered. That alone shows how caring and concern I am about people who are unable to care for themselves. What I like about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to bring a smile on the faces of my clients no matter what moods they are in for that particular day. I go to an extended mile to make sure that their needs are met and that they are taken good care of and happy. One personal achievement I am proud of is being able to graduate college. Both my parents are illiterate and for me to be the first out of four siblings to go to college and graduate was a very good accomplishment for me. And with what I have learned and experience I will continue to strive in what I love the most; that is helping people.
