Experience caregiver having over 10 years working with various clients. I guess you could say my life could be encapsulated in four simple words faith, family, friends, and helping others! I have worked in Home Health both in nursing homes as well as memory care facilities for over 10 years. I love helping people, I also feel that in some ways this is my ministry even though it is my part-time job. I have experience in memory care, ADL's, transfer assist, gait training, lighthouse keeping, meal prep, companionship, and bathing and grooming, I have dependable transportation and arrive to work on time and don't miss days unless I am ill. I am normally very healthy, and I insist on cleanliness and am constantly washing my hands. I would like to think I am extremely cautious in keeping both myself safe as well as you. I've had extensive training in HIPAA and sanitation. After retiring from Health and Human Services caregiving became my passion. I'm a very conscientious and hard worker and yet I still remain cheerful throughout the day. I also am a Certified Activities Director so I feel like I bring a little more than just caregiving. I believe that seniors need daily activities to stay happy and healthy and if possible to be a part of their day-to-day activities and have a purpose. If the senior is capable and able to water plants or assist with meal prep I encourage that. I was a travel CNA my last two years of work so I got to travel many different places locally to help with care in my area! I learned in this profession you have to have love in your heart because just like everyone else they will have their good days and bad days. In 2010 I went to collage for my CNA. I've worked with many different medical conditions. The love for elderly is what I have and enjoy doing and being their companion.

My personality traits that help me be a great caregiver are that I'm patient, flexible and have a great attitude. What attracted me to being a caregiver is that I love helping people. About Me, I have been a caregiver for over 15 years, first in a nursing home in my home town of Hillsboro, TX.. I worked as a CNA and also the Business Office for 10 years in the same facility. Then I tried Hospice care for about a year. Then I was a private sitter for a year and a half to an eldery woman. I have a passion for taking care of others who need it! And will take care of my patients to the best of my ability.

I became a caregiver back in 2016 when I found out my grandpa had severe cancer and had a year to live I was his caregiver and also worked as an caregiver one of the main reasons I became a caregiver was because I loved helping the elderly feel loved and noticeable in there last days I always made my job fun for any of my clients.

I enjoy making my patients happy and content. I am a happy and bless person. I love knowing that my patients/ clients are pleased with me for being there and helping them, to be comfortable in their own home or some other entity. That is what makes me happy.It's blessing to me, knowing that I was able to make someone else feel good about themselves. Also helping them to be safe at their own home. When I see a smile on my client face, I know that I have made someone' day, that is my personal achievement.
