I took care of my Father for 2 years before he passed away and I feel that everyone should be treated with that respect and dignity they deserve. I am an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with more than two decades of experience in the healthcare professions as both a Registered Nurse in Colombia and a Certified Nurse Assistant in the United States. In my most recent job, I worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant who provided outstanding healthcare services to residents at Heartis of Waco Assisted Living and Memory Care. Prior to moving to the United States in 2008, I worked for more than 8 years as a surgical room nurse in a cosmetic surgery clinic in my native country of Colombia. Additionally, I possess strong attention to detail and am able to keep accurate and concise written service records. My interpersonal and communication skills are outstanding: I am fluent in Spanish and proficient in English, and I am adept at helping people to open up and to feel at ease. About Me, I have been a caregiver for over 15 years, first in a nursing home in my home town of Hillsboro, TX.. I worked as a CNA and also the Business Office for 10 years in the same facility. Then I tried Hospice care for about a year. Then I was a private sitter for a year and a half to an eldery woman. I have a passion for taking care of others who need it! And will take care of my patients to the best of my ability.

I became a caregiver back in 2016 when I found out my grandpa had severe cancer and had a year to live I was his caregiver and also worked as an caregiver one of the main reasons I became a caregiver was because I loved helping the elderly feel loved and noticeable in there last days I always made my job fun for any of my clients.

Family is most important to me and I understand how important it is to have a caring, loving person taking care of loved ones. I have cared for family members on a long term basis. One had a heart attack then a stroke and needed complete care for over 3 years. Another has cancer and needed care for over a year. I always approach my responsibilities with care and compassion, remembering to treat other as I would like to be treated.

I enjoy making my patients happy and content. I am a happy and bless person. I love knowing that my patients/ clients are pleased with me for being there and helping them, to be comfortable in their own home or some other entity. That is what makes me happy.It's blessing to me, knowing that I was able to make someone else feel good about themselves. Also helping them to be safe at their own home. When I see a smile on my client face, I know that I have made someone' day, that is my personal achievement.
