Hi, my name is Leah and I'm 41 years old. I love the one on one personalized care I can give and I am able to tailor meals/nutrition, social, mental, emotional, physical stimulation according to the person's preferences. Most importantly to allow the person to stay in their familiar environment/home for as long as possible. I love the stories and words of wisdom the folks have to share. I am a sweet, caring and honest caregiver and my co-workers have always told me that I work from my heart. I still remember my last patient's compliment: "You work so fast and furious," because I love to persevere and I am always organized. I've had 2-3 years of experience as a private caregiver and currently working in senior living in Alzheimer's and memory care section. I am looking for morning to afternoon shift only. I have always been a people person and enjoyed helping others. It wasn't tell after my mother became ill and I was caring for her. I realized after her passing this is what I wanted to continue to help others . I'm very dependable and willing to help in all areas and give personal attention with respect and compassion .

It is not my favorite job, but I Really enjoy working with hospice. I am bubbly and friendly and get along well with most people. A lot of people are afraid of working with hospice, but I enjoy learning about them and their lives. I have also helped my own family die after taking them into my home. I really mean it when I say that I will treat them as my own family.

I am very well suited for the Field of Care Giving. I am a CNA. I am compassionate. I care very much about my Client's situation in life and want to do my best to help them cope and endure with their various health concerns. Also, I have more than 20 years in the care of others with various Ailments. I was attracted to this Field as a result of my Mother and Sisters involvement as well as my being a naturally caring person. I enjoy making a difference in the lives of my Clients. I look for opportunities to improve their care in whatever way I can. A couple of things I am very proud of is being able to understand and communicate successfully with a Client who is a Stroke Victim. Also, finding a solution to help relieve the severe irritation of a Client's scalp.

I am currently a student studying Kinesiology at the University at North Texas. After undergrad I am planning to go to medical school to become a doctor. I would describe myself as honest and optimistic who is a punctual and reliable person. I have a drive for caring for others and building long-term relationships with people I meet throughout life. I became interested in becoming a caregiver after helping take care of my grandparents who struggle with dementia related diseases and am looking to help other seniors while gaining experience in the caregiving/medical field.

I love being around people, I am elder in my siblings, it has very positive effect on my calm and patient personality. I have worked in medical field for most of life, caregiving does not feel like job. one of the best enjoyable part of caregiving is, you get to hear different stories/experiences of the life. I went to nursing school in Pakistan and now finally i have got the verification completed from nursing school.
