I am very well suited for the Field of Care Giving. I am a CNA. I am compassionate. I care very much about my Client's situation in life and want to do my best to help them cope and endure with their various health concerns. Also, I have more than 20 years in the care of others with various Ailments. I was attracted to this Field as a result of my Mother and Sisters involvement as well as my being a naturally caring person. I enjoy making a difference in the lives of my Clients. I look for opportunities to improve their care in whatever way I can. A couple of things I am very proud of is being able to understand and communicate successfully with a Client who is a Stroke Victim. Also, finding a solution to help relieve the severe irritation of a Client's scalp.

What made me want to be a caregiver and take care of people was being able to for connections and friendships with them. i was my grandmothers caregiver for 2 years before getting into the health care and being able to make help and care for someone brightened up my day! being that i'm a very personable person i find it very easy to connect with new people. Seeing that i have made someone's day a little bit easier is what makes being a caregiver worth it !

Let me start by stating, entrusting a stranger with the life of a loved one or yourself can be quite daunting. Being a caregiver is much more than technical qualifications; it requires heart, soul, laughter, patience, compassion, and human nature at its most vulnerable state. This is why I am passionate about what I do. I have a very colloquial personality which keeps me fluid with other personalities. I have cared for elders in my community and I enjoy helping them preserve their independence as long as possible and becoming enriched with their history. I am proud of achieving the knowledge of my self worth and the worth of others, along with growth through writing and photography. I have experience with Parkinson's patients as well, and that has been a crowning honor for myself. I am also well versed in Alzheimer's, Dementia and MS. I am a very seasoned caregiver (14 years experience) with an aptitude beyond standardized care. More so, I find myself living through the wisdom and history of each person's story and take that knowledge through my own journey. Moreover, while my on-the-job experience has afforded me a well- rounded skill set, including first-rate problem solving and observational skills, I excel at: Providing nursing assistance in Home and Long term Facilities. What makes me a good caregiver is that i believe i have a passion for this type of work i have been in this field of work for over 7 years, what attracted me to be a caregiver is my mom who also did caregiving when she fell ill i had to take care of her also which drove me even more to want to help people. I was a C.N.A for 25 years, in home caregiver for 5 years plus. In my opinion I am one of the best caregivers. I am patient, have compassion, honest and work really hard at making my client happy and healthy as possible. I have never had a complaint from a client or their families. While working in nursing homes never a complaint from the nursing staff. I have a big heart and believe our elderly need to be loved and taken care of.
