Hello My name is Martha i live in Sacramento CA for about 36years moved to Davis CA to attend a better school.In my senior year i volunteered to work at this facilty working with the elderly AND I TRULY ENJOYED IT from that day in 95' i knew what i wanted to do.I started medical school in 97' but...found out i was pregnant i had put to put my dreams on hold.In 99' i started working at State Franchise Tax Board for 3yrs then my day my Co-worker asked'hey do you really enjoy working here i stated NO but i need to provide for my family from that day on i told myself 'do something you like to do! I can say i separted myself and found a job working with the elderly in 04' from then just worked as a caregiver for YEARS my daughter a teenager now so i decided to go back school and get my RN license and here i am! Thank God!

Commended for chart accuracy, effective team collaboration, patient relations and consistent delivery of empathetic care. Displayed strong clinical skills in assessing vital signs, and providing pre- and post-operative care. Adhered to safety guidelines, completed hospital's three-hour Patient Safety Training Program. I am from the island so I grew up caring for my grandparents and younger siblings. So it's what I have been doing and use to doing now that I am an adult I do still help to care for my parents grandparents and also my own kids it's in me I do have patience and I love caring for anyone that needs the help just makes me feel good knowing they need my help. I started working caregiver when my mom and aunties would need a reliver someone to cover for there private caregiver jobs so I would fill in for hours or a day or even live in for few days as we all know it's a hard thing to do dedicating ur time and help when u have ur own families so it does take a village like they say u can't do it alone. Than I got my own private caregiver job I started working only weekends live this client had a colostomy bag also dementia and Alzheimer's so she really need the care around the clock I would help with her meals medication reminders also driving her to appointments and doing groceries for her and light house keeping I worked for this one client for 14 years straight it went from only weekends adding the week nights to the whole 24 hour 7 days a week. I would get my mom and cousins to relieve me when I would go on vacation or have time off but I was the main caregiver. I do still keep in contact with the family for reference cause it's hard to find private caregiver jobs.

I love my profession because I always enjoyed taking care of others. Caregivers job is challenging, rewarding and positively impacts others lives . My socializing and communication skills make me a great Caregivers. I am full of patience . Compassion and empathy is quality of my life. I always satisfied with my work.
