My main passion is Palliative/Hospice Care. Just being with someone at the end of their life is fulfilling. I also have a granddaughter in Australia who I helped look after who was born with Golden Har Syndrome. That was very challenging and rewarding. A personal achievement of mine was when I worked with an individual who was non verbal and he had a lot of behaviors and he could be very mean. I spoke to him and treated him like he was the same as everyone else. I cooked a special dinner for him and made it all homemade from scratch and he watched me make the whole meal. When I served him he looked at me took a bite then reached over and grabbed my arm gently and kissed my arm and he smiled so big. It took about a month to get that acceptance from him. When he finally accepted me it made me tear up. I felt so accomplished because this guy ran off so many Direct support Professionals. I felt as though I could do anything because of the wonderful feeling of gratitude and gratefulness that I received from that individual.

I am an outgoing person full of compassion and always willing to listen. Been working as a caregiver since 2005 and love what I do. I enjoy getting to know people and hearing stories of their lives. I am depednable and punctual and willing to go the extra mile.
