My original roots started in Southern California I am here again changing my destiny by the will of GOD. I am a studious ambitious tidy artist healthy woman who had the pleasure of raising sons in Northern California. I started caregiving in 2000 because it was GOD's will for me to do so. I have a genuine compassionate nature. I am naturally helpful and innovative because GOD made me that way. I prefer a no non-sense trustworthy approach to getting things done. I am proficient in basic skills: personal hygiene like showers/bath, oral care, toileting, back-rub, dressing; Assists in activities of daily living such as serving & feeding, ambulating, positioning, transferring, administer meds & nutritional supplements, dressings surgical prep; Do & record vital sign: blood pressure, weight, pulse, temperature, finger pricking for sugar levels in diabetics; Measure & record food & liquid intake, urinary & fecal output and report changes. Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Patience is a virtue inherent in me. I always work above & beyond my duty for the comfort & safety of my patients. I have been a caregiver since I was 18. I took care of my father who had esophageal cancer. I handled a gtube, medications, attachments for feedings, drs appts everything. From that time on i knew I could make a difference for those who need that help and companionship. I have worked for a company for a short time but I didnt like how they didn't follow through so I'd rather work for a family who can appreciate the care and love I can give to their loved ones. I know the struggles of giving your life to a sick or hurt family member and i understand help is really needed and I would love to offer my help.
