Being passionate about my care is my expertise, I enjoy what I do and im good at what I do. A little about myself, I have been a caregiver for 10+ years and feel it has been my calling. About 2 years ago I started 24/7 care. I am reliable and have letter of recommendations as well. I do bathing, toileting, dressing, meals, grocery shopping, errands, transferring, companionship and house keeping.

My journey into Home Health, Hospice and Caregiving started unexpectedly and quite personally. My then 16-year old daughter was diagnosed with a very rare malignant brain tumor. Fast forward 21 years. Although I enjoyed a very successful career as an IT Consultant, it was not emotionally satisfying. I am a caregiver at heart. I have cared for a young woman, now a young adult since her diagnosis with muscular dystrophy as a child. This is on an as-needed basis and she now enjoys independence in her own home. Working with my elderly families has been extremely rewarding. And caring for someone in their final season of life is something God put me on this earth to do. I raise an amazing teen granddaughter and she keeps me young at heart. Her love for pets keeps me on my toes with her two dogs, one cat and Waldo - her turtle. I am enrolling in the WINGS program and will receive my Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA)/Home Health Aide Certification in fall of 2020. This will be immediately followed by their Medication Management Certification program. Although I have performed in these roles and more for two decades, I have only recently decided to accomplish these Certifications. *Note, Any overnight, weekend or holiday shifts will be on an exception basis only*

What I can provide and feel make a great caregiver are the following; provide companionship, help with housekeeping, monitor with medication, assist with basic care plans, meal preps. doctor appointments, run errands. I'm a professional Licensed counselor in Arizona however, after divorce I left my career of 25 years in Arizona because my license doesn't transfer out of state. I enjoy helping people and feel I will need assistance someday & know how I want to be treated and hope I will be treated the way I treat others (kind, compassion, and loving) I moved to Oklahoma recently. Ready to change my career path. I have worked with several amazing physicians and have several references from medical directors who know me personally and professionally. I have completed several courses on "Working with Elderly" . I will continue ongoing trainings to improve my skills. .

I am a caregiver of 21 years. I e worked skilled nursing, home health and hospice. I work private duty in home as well. I became a caregiver after watching the nurses care for my mom and I took care my dad and grandparents at home until they passed. It is my passion to care for others and assist in any way I can.

Hi I'm Andrea I want to tell you a little about me. I'm 37 and Married with a stepdaughter who I call my own. We have a cat named Jaspurr. We are located in Norman, Oklahoma. I believe my personality traits that would make me a great caregiver are openness to feelings, straightforwardness(being "frank, sincere, and ingnous") Warmth (being affectionate and friendly) Postive emotions, Competence, Outgoing, Willing to communicate with all parties involved with the person I'm caring for. Patience and understanding. I'm very outgoing and love to talk and learn new things. What attracted me to being a caregiver is from August of 2003 to May of 2004 I took a CNA Class and worked a few short months at the Arbor House in Mustang before getting married for the first time. I moved out of state and did not continue to follow a dream I had of becoming an RN so I have decided to do caregiving and work my way to an RN. I wanted to help those in need and felt that was what attracted me to doing caregiving. What I enjoy most about caregiving is helping those that need it most and for families to be able to not stress or worry about loved ones knowing they have someone like me that can keep their loved ones taken care of and keep them company and just someone to sit with them and listen to stories and many other things. A personal achievement for me is owning my very first brand new car 2021 Kia Rio. I feel another achievement for me is all the training I have taken the time to do on MyCNA Jobs and plan to do more. I however am trained as a caregiver and have many other certifications that I could not add.I have several different certifications. Hello my name is Miranda , I've been doing my wonderful job for almost 8 yrs now. I've met some amazing people over the yrs. Dementia and Alzheimer's and Parkinson's are just a few of the conditions I've worked with , I've done live ins , doctors appointments, companionship, cleaning , cooking , bathing , med reminders. Some of the things about me is I put my whole self in what I do , I truly believe I was put on this earth to help . I have two dogs and a 14 yr old daughter , love to read and cook. I volunteer some of my time at a rescue in Blanchard when we have free time. One of the fun things that I think is quite fun is punting or , playing cards or just siting in the backyard talking. Or just sitting and watching tv. Anything to help , I've found just sitting and listening to the lives are the most personal. I love my job and all it entails.

I am a very fun and outgoing person I love to add sparkle to everyone's day but I also definitely have a very almost motherly like love to give which I feel makes me an amazing caregiver. I always wanted to work in the medical field but when I was 14 my mom got very sick and that's when i decided I would like to become a nurse someday. The things I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to bring joy to the people I care for there is nothing more rewarding about the job than seeing a client happy and enjoying life. I would say the personal achievement i'm most proud of would be getting my DDMAT certification and i'm enrolled to go to school next semester to get my CNA.

I have always taken responsibility of maintaining and establishing order in the home and work environment. Growing up my mother worked two full time jobs, and I naturally stepped in to take care of household needs at the age of 12. I have 5 children of my own, so it's a passion of mine to help even if it's to direct and give the individual the independence they need. I have learned that I enjoy caring for people of all ages whether it be with a healthy meal, a clean and orderly space, or just to listen to their hearts. A personal achievement is that I am not limited to a set career. I have an accounting degree and have worked in different jobs while mostly being a stay at home mom. I've also invested my time to helping others start their own businesses. I focus on whole health with body, mind, and spirit. I believe that we must put good things into ourselves as well as speak good things into our lives. I have studied a lot over the years in nutrition for my family and friends. I cook from scratch with clean ingredients and always ask questions about the gut and digestive system of the individual to better their health with a good meal. I have a friend that has a Nutritionist and I have helped her in the kitchen with healthy meals because a Nutritionist does not always give you a step by step guidance in your new direction. I do lead a small prayer/study group at church. Encouraging and speaking life into one another to faithfully get through difficult times.
