Hi I'm Andrea I want to tell you a little about me. I'm 37 and Married with a stepdaughter who I call my own. We have a cat named Jaspurr. We are located in Norman, Oklahoma. I believe my personality traits that would make me a great caregiver are openness to feelings, straightforwardness(being "frank, sincere, and ingnous") Warmth (being affectionate and friendly) Postive emotions, Competence, Outgoing, Willing to communicate with all parties involved with the person I'm caring for. Patience and understanding. I'm very outgoing and love to talk and learn new things. What attracted me to being a caregiver is from August of 2003 to May of 2004 I took a CNA Class and worked a few short months at the Arbor House in Mustang before getting married for the first time. I moved out of state and did not continue to follow a dream I had of becoming an RN so I have decided to do caregiving and work my way to an RN. I wanted to help those in need and felt that was what attracted me to doing caregiving. What I enjoy most about caregiving is helping those that need it most and for families to be able to not stress or worry about loved ones knowing they have someone like me that can keep their loved ones taken care of and keep them company and just someone to sit with them and listen to stories and many other things. A personal achievement for me is owning my very first brand new car 2021 Kia Rio. I feel another achievement for me is all the training I have taken the time to do on MyCNA Jobs and plan to do more. I however am trained as a caregiver and have many other certifications that I could not add.I have several different certifications. I've been into caring for others. Growing up I had to take care of both my grandmother and grandfather. It was my teenage life and all that mattered to me at the time. Once they gained wings I moved on to doing private care for my bestfriend grandmother and then her mother . Private care was always my place because I get to know someone and she/he get to know me we grow a love for each other. I get to meet family and they get to know me and 10 times out of 10 they will love me my care and compassion for caring for there love ones ! I enjoy learning and teaching talking helping the best part is the bond we crate!! My personal achievement was becoming a better mother, women and friend !!

I am a very fun and outgoing person I love to add sparkle to everyone's day but I also definitely have a very almost motherly like love to give which I feel makes me an amazing caregiver. I always wanted to work in the medical field but when I was 14 my mom got very sick and that's when i decided I would like to become a nurse someday. The things I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to bring joy to the people I care for there is nothing more rewarding about the job than seeing a client happy and enjoying life. I would say the personal achievement i'm most proud of would be getting my DDMAT certification and i'm enrolled to go to school next semester to get my CNA.
