Well I always say the good lord made me for this I have a big heart my residents always called me smiley which I try to always keep know matter how I may feel .I love the elderly there stories just putting a smile on there face ..Well the girls woukd cone get me if they couldn't understand someone because I could just knowing I helped someone and made there day better was always a good day for me .

My grandfather had a stroke when my Mom was pregnant with me. He was bedridden for 21 years. I grew up helping to care for him and it's became a part of who I am. Sometimes the smallest act of kindness can make someone's day. I strive to bring a smile to every face that I meet.

Hello I'm Ladonna, I am 35 years old, I have three children two girls and a boy ages from 15,10,7. I love being a caregiver because I feel like I miss a lot with my grandparents and I get so close with my clients it's really sad sometimes but you know I enjoy it because I love them just like I would love my own mother or grandmother or father or grandfather. I have also worked with a special needs I had a client he had cerebral palsy and he was in his sixties I worked with him for about 2 years and I just love him and he loves me, we hated to part ways, but things happened and you know I just wasn't able to stay with him and we still talk from time to time and I feel in spots for him. Also I have references. I think that I'm funny, I'm a very good listener, I'm a good cleaner, I have patience, I'm very Stout I can lift quite a bit so that would be an issue if I had to lift them . But most of all I have a good heart ;) And I love the Lord. I trust him with every aspect of my life today. My name is Lindsay I've been a caregiver for over 2 years I've worked in many nursing homes and even hospitals. The love for caregiving has always been a passion of mine I love to make people smile and help where its a bit harder. I always make great food for my clients and I also do arts and crafts that I supply myself! My great grandma has many health conditions and I help here often. I also have a niece and nephew with autism who I do my own therapy with that helps them both tremendously. The thing I enjoy the most about what I do is the knowledge I obtain from my elderly clients and also making everything a bit easier leaving them with a smile and good company.

As a Nurse aide I provide direct patient care in nursing homes and in other settings such as hospital long-term care wards, community rehabilitation or private home settings. Duties can include taking vital signs, assisting residents to move about the home or facility, helping them manage their meals and use bathroom facilities, transferring, turning, lifting or positioning bedridden patients, offering emotional support, rehabilitative exercises, bathing, grooming, feeding, and all other aspects of care as allowed by state laws and regulations.
