I have over twenty five years experience in working with individuals from all walks of life and different background. I have worked with both children and adults with physical and developmental challenges. I was diagnosing my patients as an aide.. and that's when I went to nursing school a become an L.P.N...I'm A mother of 3,I was told my youngest child would never walk or talk and today being her advocate she is in regular school with special education but is walking and talking.

I have 21 years of experience caring for stroke, dementia, alzheimer, hospice, g-tube feeding, post surgery, total care and assisting with medication. I assist with ADLs, OT,PT and Speech therapies, getting clients back to their normal much as possible and enjoy talking, playing games( board games, cards etc) and enjoying the company of my clients. Hi, my name is Erin. I have been in the healthcare field for 10 years. I am currently working as a State Tested Nursing Assistant and a Medical Assistant. I help elderly clients with their daily activities like bathing, dressing, cooking, companionship, and outdoor programs. I love providing care for those that need physical and emotional support. I like to make a difference in their lives and let them know they have someone else who cares about them outside their family.

I have spent my life serving others as a preacher/missionary wife for 30 years. It is my spiritual gift. I am caring and gentle and can be firm when needed, with encouragement to "getting moving" when able or getting up for doctor visits, etc. My clients have so far all reacted well to me and my stable temperament. I am a go-getter. I move from when I wake up to soon before bed. I take initiative without overstepping my boundaries. I sing and feel music is a big help with depression. I am sensitive to the needs of patient or family who may be near. I could get another "job," but it would not be as fulfilling and there is a real need for good caregivers. Ms. Walsingham thought I should go into my own business. This was a huge compliment coming from this dear former businesswoman. Thank you for considering me for late afternoons or overnights. I moved to Ohio to help my elderly parents in case they were to need me.

Some personality traits that I have and have been told by fellow coworkers is that I am a sweet caring and loving person. I make sure my job is done and that I live to make sure that my patients are satisfied with their care and well taken care of. Also I am always on time when needed. What attracted me to be a health care giver was when my grandma had to get open heart surgery and I helped take her to the bathroom and everything else, then from there my mom got diagnosised with lung cancer and just recently passed away last year. What I enjoy most about being a care giver is seeing my patients smile because it lets me know they are happy and they enjoy my company. My personal achievements that I am proud of is being employee of the month a few times at the hospital and having patients nominate me for being a good care taker.

I became a caregiver because I care about people and I love to help others in their time of need. I have completed the LPN program at Hondros college of nursing. I an currently attending school now to obtain my BSN. I am certified in BLS, CPR and First Aide. I have experience working with clients with all sorts of medical ailments.
