In 2017-2018 I served as live-in companion/caregiver for the singer-songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker as he recovered from throat cancer before moving to Colorado in mid-2018 to care for my girlfriend's father, who had moderate Alzheimer's Disease. In 2020 I moved back to my native Central Texas to ride out the pandemic, and before moving back to Denver this year served as a caregiver in Austin for a gentleman who was recovering from a stroke. Prior to caregiving I was a professional meditation teacher in drug and alcohol treatment centers as well as a volunteer teacher in the Texas correctional system.
