I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. For the many years that I have been taking care of the military men and women, I have loved the joy and appreciation that they give back. It is without a doubt that I will take a great care of your loved one just like I would care for my own. For me, life is a gift that comes from God and therefore, it must be respected.

I have Self-control, sincere, devoted, generous, and kind. As a mother, and someone who came from a large family in which caregiving is rooted deep in my culture, I always wanted to take caregiving as a career and improve along that pathway. I like to entertain, converse, and read aloud to keep my patients or resident's alert. I also like to run errands and do weekly grocery shopping for them. In 2015 I started giving care to a couple. The wife pre-deceased the husband whom I continue to take care of. It has been 7 years now and counting, the children of this patient no longer consider me as a caregiver, but a family member because (according to them) of the 5-star care that I give to their dad. This is my personal achievement that I am most proud of in my career as a care giver.

I love treating others well as a Caregiver because I always have it in mind that with life one should expect a lot of changes, challenges and experiences and these may be getting sick, accidents or growing old because it is the order of the day. So, I always imagine myself into that person's situation Iam caring for. The question that pops up in my head is what if that's me, my parents or my lovely daughter. This prompts me to treat others the same way I would wish to be treated or cared for in case I was in that position. My greatest achievement is putting a smile on someone i have given care for. I started Caregiving over 25 years ago. I have always enjoyed assisting clients. I have worked in home health care, private duty, and caregiving facilities. My roles included caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A), Med Tech and Supervisor, and Nursing Assistant Educator. Due to my passion for caregiving, I became a Registered Nurse in 2012. As a registered Nurse, I traveled to patients' homes, wrote Care Plans, and trained and tested Nursing Assistants. I have spent the last few years homeschooling and raising my children. I miss caregiving and ready to start my career again. Even though I am Registered Nurse, I am interested in a caregiver role. I want to spend time with my clients.
