Caregiving has been a rewarding second career. After retiring from the banking industry, my sister who has been an RN for many years inspired me to follow down this path. I have worked in the healthcare field the past 4 years; I absolutely love it. I have worked in a group home, ISL(individual supported living), nursing homes and psychiatric hospital, ages ranging from 3-100. I worked as a CNA at the nursing home, helping with bathing, grooming, transfers, toileting, changing and person hygiene. In the ISL, I worked with disabled clients, helping with their everyday need. I would provide transportation, assist with house cleaning, administrating meds, personal hygiene and community skills. I Thoroughly enjoy working in the healthcare field and plan to attend college to get my RN degree. After graduation I would like to become a behavioral health nurse. I love being able to help people with things that they are no longer able to do.

What encouraged my choice to do caregiving, My Father, he had a massive CVA in 2009 and since then my experience has driven me more towards helping not only family but those who need it.
