I'm 8year plus elderly care provider that has a place in my heart that loves to work with elderly. Love there personalities it warms my heart and brightens my day and life being there to help them in life.

Easy going, caring person. I've been caregiving for about 10 years now. I love what I do. I take pride in what I do. No task is too big or too small. I use to be a store manager band I somehow just crossed over into caregiving and I never looked back. What I enjoy most is helping people that need our help. Elders and hospice patients. I've even worked helping out the blind and getting them back on track with everyday living. So far my personal achievements would be that I have, my medical assistant program certificate front and back office,, CPR certified, and I'm now taking online courses for Medical Billing and coding. My main goal is to retire in hospital type environment.

I have over 15 years of experience providing care for my loved ones as-well-as others in need of care. My husband & 21 year old son lost their battles against cancer within 6 years apart. I found that caring for them without any assistance was a great challenge that I conquered alone. I gained a vast amount of knowledge & experience regarding both colon cancer & osteosarcoma of which my guys suffered, dealing with chemotherapy & surgeries. Even though they lost their battles, I found that a part of me has become more loving & understanding of human sufferage than ever before. I am blessed to be strong & I am appreciative of having good health, & look forward to helping others in need of care and companionship. I am both patient and loving, having been through such devastating experiences with my own loved ones, and I know how it feels to be in such a vulnerable position. I have dedicated myself to assisting people in need of care, and l love what I do. I have been working in this field since 2010 and was hired by Rescare soon after my husband passed in 2016. I feel I have something to "give back", and I will be happy to do so by assisting your loved one's in need of loving and respectful care. It will be my pleasure to assist your family with the best of my training and experience. I am certified in CPR, First Aid, Fire & Safety & have taken a Altzheimer/Dementia training course. I am registered with the CA State Registery for Care Givers & Certified. I have taken & passed numerous Care Giver classes including: HIPPA, Senior Care assistance in all aspects of care, and have passed in depth Finger Print screening. Also, I have broviach catather & colostomy care experience & was trained via Children's Hospita & Emmanuel Memorial hospitals professionals. Hello my name is Nadiha Martinez (you pronounce my name without the "H") I personally have experience in dealing with people that have dementia and all the things that come along with it. I am patient, caring, compassionate, etc. All the things elderly need to feel okay when they're having hard days! I have always wanted to be a caregiver due to my grandparents needing assistance all of my teenage and adult life. I love offering help to those in need and even to those who are afraid to ask for it.. I know what it takes to take care of the elderly and a lot of the time they're just looking for someone to be there with them even if you need to help out and that's what I enjoy the most because seeing their faces light up when you finish the slightest conversation with them makes me the happiest.

Some expertise that helps me be a great care giver is experience, I've worked in facilities, home care and memory care when it comes to caregiving. Over the years I've learned a lot of techniques and different ways to do things that will help the person I'm taking care of/ assisting in the most comfortable way for them. What attracted me to become a caregiver is caring for people who can't care for them selves, whether it be someone who is injured, someone who's in recovery, someone who can't walk, someone who can't talk and do things for their selves. I enjoy caregiving because it puts smile on my face, makes me happy and it's truly something I enjoy and I want to continue. My personal achievement that I'm proud of is helping someone achieve their goals because then I have achieved mine. My whole achievement is helping someone with whatever they need help with. Even if theirs a little bump in the road that delays the process as long as it gets done I am proud of it.

I Am a very honest fun loving Caring Lady, I enjoy putting that smile on everyone's face, I have always been very interested in learning all about my patients life and experiences I find it to be very fascinating, I went into the nursing field because I love caring for the elderly. I enjoy most about being a caregiver when I see the smile on my patients face as I walk into the door, I love talking about their life and their family history, the patient is the most important. My personal achievement was when I was caring for a gentleman in San Jose he had just had a major back surgery they glued his nerves together so he was pretty much paralyzed when i started caring for him, the doctors told him that he would not walk again, well I was with him for almost a year in a half I did physcial therapy with him every single day we went on walks etc.. I am very proud to say this gentleman is walking, dancing and driving he is now 82 years of age..

I have good experience from working with people who have different illnesses and disabilities. Helping take care of family members made me realize that I have the patience needed to help others in need. I listen well and I will asks questions if I ever doubt or don't understand something, I'm willing to try new ways / methods. I enjoy meeting people, hearing/ learning about the different history/ lives of people from different eras. I am proud of being trusted with and able to help people with their loved ones , to bring them proper care & comfort.

I started out as a CNA when I was 16 years old in a convalescent home, I was in the Army from 1975 to 1978. I used the GI Bill to become an LVN. I've worked in LTC, rehabilitation and acute care settings. you name it I've probably done it. My father was a minister and my Mom always wanted to be a nurse, however she kept busy being a ministers wife, I took care of both of them in their last days. I now prefer to take care of people in their homes, which I believe is the ideal setting and much less stressful.
