After a massive Corporate downsizing, I have changed careers and turned to the Healthcare field. I have over 30 years experience taking care of family and clients, ranging from neonatal, special needs including quadriplegia, to hospice care. The last 20 years have also included dementia/stroke, oxygen, TPN, feeding tubes and post operative care. In addition, I have also been asked by 2 clients to become their personal assistant. This included travel to the grocery store, doctor appointments, downsizing homes, moving packing and unpacking, traveling across country and also property managed my clients home while it was on the market to sell. I am 28, from Tucson Az. Been living in Illinois for a little over a year and a half. I was raised by my grandparents, my grandpa was a multiple stroke survivor until he was 98years old, I took care of him since I was about 15 years old. Once I turned 19 I got my first caregiver job and been inlove with it ever since. I've worked with Adults, elderly and children. From mental and physical disabilities. I've done some hospice care as well. My clients are more than clients to me they become family.

I knew I wanted to be a caregiver since childhood. My biggest accomplishment would be graduating from the nursing program while working full time with very young children.

Am Victoria by name. Am a mother of 3 wonderful children. Happily married. Am an African from Nigeria to be precise. Yeah we all can ever be the same but I have been given the grace to be able to handle and work with some seniors that are a bit difficult, but at the end of it all, we all became friends and family. Am a very emotional person that feels whatever my clients are feeling also., and just love to be sure that, my clients are ok anytime any day! Caring has been my passion since I was little as my parents told me. I love my job as a caregiver simply because it's my passion to care!!! I have many seniors that are still alive but still want me to care for them just because of our relationship, but because of my schooling, and areas they are,won't just allow me to do that, but I still connect with them on phones. Taking care of seniors is a privilege for me because it makes me remember that, one day, am gonna be like them and this makes me want to care for them, better than anyone! Being a senior isn't a sin but a blessing!!! The most reason why all seniors need a good caregiver like me!
