Hi im Shannon, I am very caring, friendly, enjoy meeting new people. I love working/helping the senior public, I learn alot from them they have lived through many years and they are experienced. My favorite is to hear when and how or where they grew up. Its a warm nice feeling. My Mom and Dad both passed from cancer so i have lots of experience from taking care of them. I learned how to clean my Moms trach which i feel is a big achievement for me I sure never thought i could ever do something like that, but it was for my Mom and for her to be able to come home so yes I did learn that and would of moved mountains if needed to be. I hope to be able to help anywhere I may be needed.

I was a caregiver for my quadriplegic son until his passing at age 15. He taught me patience, being kind and self-care. I believe in treating people with kindness and go the extra mile for someone. I have worked with elder people for 8 years now. I enjoy using music therapy and crafts to relaxation my client. I have attended classes on Dementia and Alzheimer's. Taking care of people isn't just a job but a passion.

I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. I have always loved helping people and when I was younger my grandmother developed dementia I felt very happy to be able to help her. I am proud to be able to put a smile on peoples faces even on the hard days I'm proud of the work I do.

I have passion for what I love to do, which is to work with individuals who want to remain in their home after surgery, rehab, hospital stays, etc. I am a hard worker who is easy to get along with. I'm friendly. I enjoy learning new ideas/skills. I have over 10 years experience in this field.

Patience : especially when dealing with the elderly, it is essential for a caregiver to be patient because some of the consumers might not know what they are doing and some needed more time to understand informations . Hello my name is Dawn, I have been working in the care industry in different seasons of my life for the last 25 years. I find my greatest reward is assisting others the elderly and children alike, with their individual needs. I have a nurturing and sociable nature which is suited to this work which requires commitment, devotion and happy service to others. I've been a Licensed CNA for 4 in a half years. I've worked in nursing homes assisted livings hospitals and mental/substance abuse units. I'm very genuine loving and understanding when it comes to my work because i know it's hard to find that in the healthcare field nowadays, it's like everyone just does it for the money and no passion behind it. Although i like to get paid it's genuine passion that comes with me. I got into this field because of my grandmother so i proud myself on treating my patients clients and/or residents as such. I'm currently in nursing school, well doing my prerequisites for nursing school at Ivy Tech Community College I'm super proud and excited about that because going back for my R.N has been a goal of mine since i became a CNA back in 2019.
