I started specializing in this field like 7-8 years ago when my grandmother had a stroke, it's my love for her that make me gentle this is easy work to me. What I enjoy most is being able to put a smile on my clients faces, building bonds with them, & just being able to be there because what seems small to us is big to them...I can't wait to meet new faces, learn new things, & take on new challenges!

Hello my name is Azhia, My experience as a caregiver began three years ago and I've loved doing it since. Ive learned so much being a caregiver as far as kindness, empathy, and being patient with my clients. I also believe one of my greatest strengths as a caregiver is my ability to listen. I am 52 years old. Been doing this type work off and on for 20 plus years now. I always have loved to help people since I was little. When I was nineteen my grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimers. I was there with him from day one to the last moments of his life. I had two aunts and myself took shifts taking care of him. Then after he passed we did the same for my grandmother. I fell in love with it and knew that was what I was meant to do.

If I discribed myself to someone I would say I'm a giver. I've worked in the medical field for 30 years and loved every minute of it. Most of my life I worked in a physician office doing stress test and lab work. I started sitting with hospice patients five years ago as well as elderly that just needed assistance and a friend. I'm patient, a good listener and qualified. My degree is in respiratory therapy but working in a primary care office has taught me to be good at many general skills that have benifitted my work as a caregiver.

I have been in the medical field since 1997. I went to school with a passion for caring for people. I wanted to make a difference in helping people. I worked in womens health from 1997-2010. Also worked in Cardiology from 1998-2005. I decided to do Home care in 2010. I worked assisting seniors and people who were unable to care for themselves in their homes. I enjoy the one on one time I have with my patients and being a part of their familys llives.

I have almost 30 years of experience providing healthcare to seniors in nursing homes, hospice along with home healthcare. Compassion, patience along with close communication with families and healthcare providers are vital to me in providing quality care. My specialties are working with clients with Alzheimer's and dementia and hospice. I am well-equipped with handling the challenges that often face these patients.
