I'm a CNA with 4yrs experience, up to date licence, empathetic, and a good communicator . Naturally i love to help people make them feel better whenever i can. I enjoy learning from clients off of thier unique experiences in life. My goal is to help client maintain quality of life despite their respective conditions. I've been able acquire many different trainings which makes me a distinguished caregiver.

I developed my passion to be a caregiver after i took care myself of my husband who died of cancer. We then are in and out of the hospital and everyday i saw how sick and old people need their fellow to take care of them and look after them. During my day to day experience doing my job i feel a sense of happiness and fulfilment in what i do knowing i am able to help somebody who needs me.

I have over 15 years of experience providing reliable and compassionate care in both an Adult Family Home and in private home settings. I know how to empathize in situations where I need to be empathetic. Patience and flexiblity is a must I get it, there are times when you might need someone to show up unannounced at any given time. I always put the needs of my senior first and I am able to take charge when necessary. I'm known for being a good listener but an excellent communicator. To me a sense of humor is acceptable to anyone, it brings the magic to the room & enlightenment shines right through, so yes I see myself as a humorous person at times. Every day I am capable of being emotionally tough to not only protect, but to instruct the patient on the things that need to be done, showing a sense of Independence which shows cooperation. I should be physically fit and have a strong constitution and I will be always available able to perform light housekeeping duties at all times. I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and two minors in human development and sociology. Since then I have been working for a residential care agency with adult family homes and single individual apartments. I began as a caregiver and moved up to a site supervisor and eventually an area supervisor. As an area supervisor I manage eight special needs clients and 25 staffing caregivers. I am looking to change my job and do private caregiving as it will be closer to my home. I absolutely love being a caregiver and I cannot imagine myself doing anything else. I have a vast array of experience with many types of medical diagnoses and special needs. I feel I'm a great care giver because you have to love what you do its a career for me not a job.I love the feeling of helping someone who can't help themselves. I became a caregiver do to helping a family member out who had a stroke I just felt great about doing something I was good at.I love getting to know the client and the storys they tell the struggles and life they have lived its wonderful I learn a lot of history and they have companionship.its a wonderful feeling when you wake up and are ready to go to work and no regrets

Since I was little nothing excited me more than helping people emotionally mentally and physically. When I was in my junior year of high school I had the opportunity to get my CNA license and it's the best decision I've ever made. The best part of my job is getting to know the people I take care of. Learning of their past and experiences and being able to gain trust and loyalty in one another is so important to me. I'm going to school for my BSN and I feel so fortunate to be a part of the medical field and get some insight.
