I am compassionate and empathetic. I genuinely care for my fellow man. I am a good listener who pays attention to detail and I'm self-sufficient. I've completed training in the following courses through The Public Authority of Santa Clara County, Last phase of life, mental health, nutrition, personal care, pre-paramedical, Alzheimer's & Dementia Basics, first aid, diabetes, and CPR, to name a few. Being the oldest, and only girl of 4, I Inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later in life gravitated towards adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and hearing their lives experiences, their knowledge, and the wisdom they often share. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

I'm currently 24. I graduated 2017 from a music/business college in Pasadena ca. I have my Associates degree now. I'm currently have a cleaning business and I also am a caretaker for children including my twin sisters whom have autism. I love helping people and serving my community, especially people who are elderly, less fortunate, or disabled, that's definitely one of my passions! My mom has an agency for adults who are disabled and she has been doing this since before I was born. I learned from a very young age how to take care of people who are mentally or physically I'll, or disabled by certain experiences I've had with her clients. I also helped take care of my grandma years ago up until she passed from cancer. Shortly after when my grandpa was sick I took care of him up until I left for college. When I graduated college he got sicker, So I back in Oakland take care of him and unfortunately he is niw deceased. I also took care of my mom while she was battling cancer and she passed a few years ago, she was my grandpa's original caretaker but I took over after she passed. One of the best achievements I'm proud of is saving my grandpas life by changing his diet and staying on top of his meds, he almost passed in December of 2017, he did a whole he did a whole 180. The doctors gave him a certain amount of time to live but he did surpass it. He wasn't walking or talking, and being tube fed. His conditions were diabetes and congestive heart failure, but my sister and I did research on his condition, hired him changed his got him in physical, and speech therapy. He eventually was able to stop the tube feedings and eat regular food. Since I know a lot about health and certain health conditions that others might not know about I like to share my knowledge and help save lives the best I can. Some of my dreams are to own multiple businesses serving the community and to be a singer.

I have 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry specifically in the role of caregiver. I've always had a love of taking care of people. My earliest memories Consisted of playing hospital with my Barbie dolls and pretending to take care of them as if I were in a real hospital setting! I would bathe them, dress them, administer injections etc. That love stayed with me throughout my childhood to present day. Although I've gone to school and acquired all of the proper credentials needed to work in hospitals etc., I missed that special feeling you get via the relationships and bonds that developed when giving one on one care to a client which I felt was lacking in the hospital setting. I am at my happiest when I am able to bring a smile to my clients face through the services that I provide for them personally and I really enjoy providing companionship as well. When my dad fell ill, I gave up everything to focus on taking care of him personally. In addition to the clinical portion of caring for him we watched TV together, shared deep conversations and stories of his childhood and mine, I prepared his favorite meals etc. And when it was my dad's time, I walked away from it with life long memories that I have passed along to my children who I hope will pass it on to their children and so on!

I have over ten years of experience in caregiving, I'm also a registered RBT I hold my CPR and first aide license. I'm also fully vaccinated and I have a lot of skills in the medical field.

Care giving is something i choose to do out of passion, and dream I love helping older people, just like i love taking care of children too. because I always pray to live longer and old ,so I started by trying to help volunteering weekly because am in to filmmaking,singing and dancing which Is also one of my passion ,but The job comes once a while before i decided to make it a full time job due to my experience with older people, and people with special needs .So what made me a better caregiver is because I care for my clients like they are my own parents and family in a special way.My believe as a caregiver is you need first to love people as you love yourself,then put yourself in their shoes and feel their pains then you will know how it feels that they need more time and care ..

Hello. My name is Amy. I was a fine arts teacher in Texas working with teenagers and adults for 25 years. Seven years ago I moved to California and decided to change careers, working with seniors this time, helping them to have a better quality of life. As a senior caregiver for the last 5 years most of my clients have remained in their homes to receive care, but I've also helped some in assisted living facilities and hospitals. I have experience working with seniors who have had Alzhiemer's disease, dementia, memory impairment, visual and hearing deficits, end stage cancer as well as those who need short term assistance while healing from various injuries and surgeries. I am a very empathetic, kind-hearted and compassionate person who loves to help others. I prefer working part time and daytime shifts. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I am energetic and very social. I know that my compassion will make me a great caregiver because I believe that caregiving is not only about working for the person but making them feel safe and loved. What attracted me to be a caregiver was seeing my kind hearted mom help the elderly as a CNA. She does it with so much joy and that has inspired me. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I can get to know my patient and their story and inherit their life experience, stories, and wisdom.
