I believe in lifelong learning and personal growth. I developed an interest in caregiving at a very young age. During my teenage years. I I help my mother with my grandparents . I knew since then I loved helping caring for other. I always enjoyed playing and combing my dolls hair, feeding and play cooking for them. I always look after the house keeping home cleaned and organized. I have been a Certified Home Health Aide for 20 years . I have over 25 + years of successful customer service experience within the workplace. I'm punctual with my time and strive daily in treating people the way I want to be treated. The "caring aspect" is what gravitated me in caring for others. I believe in the law of reaping/sowing (what you dish out in life always comes back to you good and bad), and because of that, I considered my older years at a young age when I may be in need of assistance of receiving care in return. Hello! My name is Alyson. I first became a care giver, before I even got my license, when I was 15. I worked for the park district, working with families and then babysitting children. I even worked as a nanny for a few families. I also cared for children and adults that are physically or mentally disabled. I have cared for elderly people as well. I have cared for clients who needed a little help with cooking and cleaning to hands on care for those who had Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Dementia. I have also house and pet sat for multiple families. I am a very caring, sweet, patient person. Being a caregiver is a great fit for me because I enjoy helping people and listening to their stories. I have a great sense of pride going home after work, knowing that I made a difference in someone else's life. Something I am proud of today; caring for clients with so many different needs over the years. One of my clients made it through to the point, she didn't need care anymore. She was able to be independent on her own after I helped her for four years. During my time when I am not working to help other people, I enjoy outside activities, taking care of my garden, my indoor plants, crafting, kayaking, camping, cooking and spending time with my loved ones and pets.

I love to be a caregiver because I am compassionate and caring. I love to help and care for someone who is in need. Caregiver, for me is a rewarding experience because it makes me feel needed.
