i understand how the person im, helping feels, i am very compassent, i am able to follow insturctions. i love to listen to people, tell me there story,i am not affraid of hard work, i don't rush when i am, working with a person. i have no problems being told, to do a task over, i got started as a care giver, when a family member got alzheimers, and it made me realize that older folks, didnt ask to get old, or get treated like they had no feelings.. i love being able to sit and visit and listen to, the older folks, talk about there life and past...

Hi! My name is Jessica, but everyone has known me as just JP for years now. I feel as if I make great as a CNA because of my experience and knowledge base. I've been trained to provide care for patients with a wide range of needs, as well as knowledge of medical devices and equipment. I am outgoing and patient and fun and unique. I love patients that others find off-putting or difficult. I decided to become a caregiver because I loved being able to help people. And I am really good at doing that. I am confident I know what im doing and have worked at a facility where I was able to identify 2 residents as having pneumonia the first day on the job so you can trust that your family member is in good hands.

I am a very caring, passionate person! The PATIENT ALWAYS COMES FIRST! I have been taking care of patients for 8 years now! I am 61 years old and I am old school! I don't believe in rushing because that is when you make mistakes! Take your time with your patients and care for them like you would want to be cared for when you get older. Or if they were your loved one! Let them know that you can be trusted. Keep them safe and their home safe from falls. Wash their face, comb their hair, brush their teeth, etc....make them feel good and refreshed! Respect their religion and ask questions! Listen to them and pay attention to what they are telling you. Respect them and their home! I love helping others that have a hard time helping themselves. It's rewarding to me and it comes from my HEART! I have helped my whole family who have passed in their home with cancer, heart problems, Parkinson's disease, and not one went to a nursing home! This is why I became a CNA! It gave me such gratitude and made me feel good to see them smile at me everyday for making them feel good! When I walk through a patients front door I walk into Their home! With a smile on my face leaving my problems behind me! It's all about the PATIENT! The Patient Always Comes First!!

I love working with a variety of different individuals. I've also had alot of training in the nursing field and am always looking for a position to further educate myself and always willing to learn new things. I am an enthusiastic, big hearted, 22 year old. I enjoy caring for people and providing companionship as well. I never grew up around family and to me the people I care for become family and I treat them as such. If I would not want my parents, grandparents etc. treated a certain way I can assure you I will not do that to yours. I love the connection and the opportunity it gives me to give back to the community. I know people are very busy and can not always provide the time or care for their elderly and/or disabled loved ones and that is why I have gone into this field to provide the assistance needed for families to help alleviate some stress and worry. A personal achievement that I am proud of would have to be the connection I made with a family when I first started this career. It's an experience that keeps me going even when I get discouraged with school and such..... I bonded with an elderly gentleman I took care of and his family. Sadly he was the first death I experienced and I took it hard. His family made a point to come visit me at work and invite me to his funeral. They wanted to also let me know how much they appreciated how I took care of their father and gave me such an amazing feeling and to this day it helps me always remember WHY I do this and all the good that comes from what I do as a caregiver

I became a Caregiver because I love to help people. After high school I will be attending Kansas Wesleyan University to study nursing. The thing I love most about being a Caregiver is that I get the chance to brighten someone's day every day, whether it be by playing a game of cards or just by keeping them company. I go into work every day with a smile on my face because I know I get to do what I love. I am currently attending Washburn Rural High School as a senior. I will be graduating in December and after that I plan to get some more work experience before heading off to college in the Fall of 2015. Some of my hobbies include: travel, softball, and board games. I volunteer a lot of my time tutoring in math and mentoring young softball players.

I am an experienced CNA and have worked in two different nursing homes. I truly love the work I do as a CNA and enjoy getting to know and care for the residents. Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a nurse and throughout my life I have tried to maintain working in settings where I can care for others. Healthcare is my passion and I am proud of the work I do and how I care for people.
